The Pigman
A short fantasy drama film set in the Mourne Mountains, N. Ireland. The film is written by Rik Gordon and is based in his home village of Rostrevor, Co. Down. The film follows a strange fictional creature known locally as "The Pigman".
- Rik has worked on many film projects and this film will be the first professional project undertaken since finishing university.
- The campaign will help cover some production costs including the make-up required for the main character and also renting of equipment and buying props.
- This film will be a great advertisement for the area and the final film will hopefully be an enjoyable film that will be sent to short film festivals around the world

What We Need & What You Get
-
Though we have a lot of great people volunteering and helping on the production, funds are greatly needed to create the mask and costume for the main character. The mask needs to be made from scratch and will require expensive materials and a lot of preparation days. The mask needs to be realistic and authentic as it is vital to the credibility of the character. Some scenes also take place at night and HMI lights will need to be rented for some of the night shots. Also it is important to pay talent for the grueling film making process so some of the money raised along with our own funds will go towards this.
- We have some great perks for those who contribute, including shout outs on fb and twitter, glossy A3 posters, VIP screenings of the film and for a little bit more you can also be included in the credits and have a logo shown at the end of the film.
- If unfortunately we don't reach the entire goal, the funds will still be put into the film but we will have to cut some corners in regards to the production, which won't be ideal but the show must go on.
Risks & Challenges
Though the film is a short the amount of work required is still intensive. A great deal of planning has gone into the pre-production of the film but as with all projects we expect some hurdles and obstacles so creating a contingency plan and preparing for the worst will allow the production to run as smoothly as possible.
