A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE UPLIFTING SHORT-FILM

Break the Format Foundation Corp (dba BTF Awareness) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that utilizes the profound impact of audio-visual storytelling to create content that inspires, motivates, and transforms. Through our productions, we aim to raise awareness on critical societal issues, including discrimination, inequality, mental health disorders, pro-life threats, and sexual violence.

Our organization benefits from the expertise of its founders Francisco Cordero and Ricardo Coeto from BTF Media, a renowned Emmy nominated audiovisual production company. Their vision is complemented by its Managing Director Ivonne González Vela, contributing her +20 years’ experience in communications, audiovisual production and humanitarian affairs in US and LATAM.

BTF Awareness emerged amidst the profound desire to create inspirational and transformative content to shed light on societal issues often overlooked and to give voice to the silenced. Through our platform, we endeavor to make a positive impact and create a society where empathy and acceptance prevail.

Independence is the cornerstone of BTF Awareness, free from any commercial or political agenda or influence. Our projects remain steadfast in its philanthropic mission, dedicated to empowering those facing hardships and awakening society's empathy, inclusivity, compassion, and understanding.

THE Q CASE SHORT-FILM

At BTF Awareness, our goal is to challenge perceptions and foster empathy and compassion towards people with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. Through our original short-film, The Q Case, we aim to break stereotypes by depicting disabilities as opportunities for growth and love.

The Q Case is a compelling short-film that delves into the profound complexities that arise when a quadriplegic woman, Mónica Quivira, determinedly pursues her dream of motherhood despite the formidable challenges and societal judgments posed by her physical condition. This thought-provoking narrative revolves around the convergence of two central characters: Dr. Diego Martínez, a renowned specialist in assisted fertilization, and Mónica, who, tragically, became quadriplegic following a devastating car accident.

The film masterfully explores the ethical and moral dilemmas inherent in Mónica's unwavering choice, raising poignant questions about the sanctity of life, the boundaries of scientific innovation, the clash of conscientious objection, and the profound responsibilities of parenthood.

The Q Case is an emotional journey that delves into the very essence of our dreams and fears, challenging conventional notions of what is right and ethical in the pursuit of one's deepest desires.

SOME AUDIENCE DEMOGRAPHICS

The audience is mainly Hispanics living in the U.S. aged between 20 to 65 years, with internet access. This diverse group encompasses immigrants, US-born individuals, and Latinos from different generations. Additionally, our focus extends to those facing physical, mental, or emotional distress.

The Hispanic community in the U.S. has experienced remarkable growth, not only in traditional Hispanic areas like Los Angeles, Miami (where our non-profit is incorporated), New York, Chicago, Houston, and Dallas, but also in regions where they were less prominent in the past.

The U.S. Hispanic population grew by an impressive 23% to reach 62.1 million, accounting for 18.7% of the total population over the last decade. Moreover, the number of Hispanics reporting multiple races expanded significantly, from 3 million to 20.3 million, signifying a strong sense of heritage and pride in representing this race. The Pew Research Center highlights that Hispanics now outnumber other races, including Asians, Blacks, and Whites. Furthermore, Nielsen predicts that Hispanic population growth will surpass all other ethnic groups in the next four decades.

Through a four-week cycle of screenings and film forums, we anticipate directly reaching approximately 1,000 individuals that will turn into 5,000 people when submitting our films to domestic and international film festivals. By licensing the short-film to a distributor, or through reproductions and views on free platforms like YouTube, we expect to reach a global audience of thousands of viewers.

A SIMPLE DEAL: YOU FUND, WE PRODUCE

The Q Case short-film is planned to be produced and screened under the following schedule:

BTF Awareness’ team is well-versed in mastering audiovisual arts to the highest standards. Their combination of social sensibility and successful careers in the TV, film, and communications industries ensures the accomplishment of the project.

Arts and Entertainment play a pivotal role in shaping society, impacting, transforming, and generating reactions in every person. Through films and series, we have the power to make visible the concealed and give voice to silenced stories. Our focus on audiovisual arts as a transformation platform allows us to work with people's deepest emotions and break barriers.

The significance of arts within humanity is undeniable, and utilizing them as a lifelong transformation platform to heal and empower humanity ensures success for the mission of the non-profit.

The impact of The Q Case will be assessed through box office revenues and statistics such as reach, engagement, interactions, and demographics gathered from the distribution channels used for screenings and film forums.
