Our Story
I discovered a new love for cooking since 2005; one day I saw a culinary instructor sprinkle parsley on a plate and was instantly fascinated by the beauty of the food. Since then, I have obtained two culinary certificates, have gone to work for various establishments like Legal Seafood, The Sheraton Hotel, MIT as a supervisor, an Executive sous-chef at the John Hancock in Boston and Sous-chef at Harvard University.
Throughout my career, I have always loved the art of combining different ingredients and flavors to make a dish as well as plating food in a way that was pleasing to the eye. People are always appreciative of the food I cook and the way I present on a plate to which my response is always “Beautiful food for Beautiful people”. I truly believe that regardless of where we are in our walks of life, we are all beautiful people.
I am excited to bring 50Kitchen to Fields Corner and give back to the community where I grew up. While this current generation lacks mentors, my hope is for 50Kitchen to bridge the gap and provide support to the youth in this community.
Our Goal
50Kitchen will not only be a beautiful diverse addition to Fields Corner but we are excited to give back to this community through various programs. Our goal is to partner with local shelters as a way to help fight hunger. In addition, we have partnered with Helen Y. Davis Leadership Academy for our “a day in the life” program. Our food program will allow us to provide food to local shelters daily while our school program will allow us to mentor young children and show them basic skills on the daily operations of a restaurant.
Our Food
Our food will be comprised of fusion style inspired dishes, from Southern American and Asian inspired dishes to a wide range of various cuisines. We’re excited to bring diverse food options to the Fields Corner area of Dorchester.
Your impact
While we have been blessed to have most of what we need, we still need your help to cover kitchen equipment and furniture for 50Kitchen restaurant. Our main goal is to bring something culturally different to the neighborhood, and we cannot do it without your help.
Other ways you can help
We understand that not everyone who would like to help has the means to do so. If you aren't able to help with a donation, we would greatly appreciate you sharing our campaign through any social media outlets you enjoy and asking your friends to spread the word, even if it's by word of mouth.
