Short Summary
I'm Mark Vella and I have been in the film and TV industry for 30 years!
'The Scream Inside' is the first 20 minutes of a feature script I have written about an old curse that must be set free every 100 years to seek vengeance on a small town built on sin.
This film is the result of growing up in the East of England, surrounded by tales of witches and ghosts, folklore tales of murder and curses and the illustrious career of Matthew Hopkins, Witchfinder General who governed Suffolk in the mid 17th century.
This project is very personal to me yet I do think that every place has it's fair share of folk tales, so I believe that everyone can find something that could scare them here, like an old campfire story, handed down through generations.
I cannot express how important any contribution would be, if you contribute £1 then that pound will be gratefully received and used to help make this film effective and you will have been a very important aspect of making this project a reality.
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking to raise £5000, which will go towards locations, actors, crew well being and raising the production values, the more we raise the better the film will look.
No one is taking a salary (except the actors) so each member of the crew is passionate and fully focused on the storytelling to the best of their abilities.
£5000 will be seen on the screen and the more you contribute the better the perk.
We have social media thank you's all the way to set invitations, premier attendance, signed photos, posters, copies of the film, so we will endeavour to gift you respectfully for your input.
The Impact
The horror film community is, without a doubt, the most discerning, loyal, aware fanbase there is and what we are trying to do is tribute that by making a film for the fan that taps in to what makes us scared but at the same time, making us enjoy the experience and wanting more!!
I have previously made a film called 'The Neighbours' which premiered in Cannes to good reviews and was nominated for two awards at the 2016 FANtastic Film Festival in San Diego.
Risks & Challenges
Every film is a risk which in itself is an obstacle, however, it is what makes the process exciting, and we have assembled a great crew who will be tackling this head on, our primary target is to entertain and scare!!
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't contribute financially, then spread the word and tell your friends, contacts, etc. and you will be making a great contribution!
