Our Story
Welcome!
We're The Stone Pines, a rock/blues band from
Vancouver BC, Canada. We are passionate about music and have been working
hard to realize our dream of being a band full time. Over the last two years,
we've written a group of songs that we are extremely proud of, but haven't been
able to afford to record. A big step for us will be releasing them for you to
hear!
Because we're an independent band, paying for
a professional studio/producer can be a challenge. We have planned and
budgeted what we need for the album, and have already raised the rest of the
money needed from playing shows and through a FACTOR grant from the Canadian
government. We need to do our songs justice and record them in a professional
studio.
We are heading into The Warehouse Studios in
February 2012 to record the album with mixer/producer Eric Mosher (Franz
Ferdinand, AC/DC, Chickenfoot), who worked with us on our last single
"Goodbye Devil". We set our sights high, as The Warehouse is one of the
best studios in Canada and we could only afford one day in the studio for that
single. We rehearsed the three songs from "Goodbye Devil" over and
over and recorded all of them "live off the floor" in a single
day. We were really happy with the recordings and with Eric and want to
work with him again to build on what we had a taste of before, but this time we
are hoping to have more time to record and mix so that our CD sounds great for
you. We will be recording 6 new songs, which together with the songs from
"Goodbye Devil" will make a 9 song album that we can showcase to the
world.

What We Need & What You Get
We've booked the studio time in but won't be
able to record unless we raise the missing funds. The whole project will
cost over $5000, which includes 3 days in The Warehouse studios, 4 days of
mixing, mastering, CD Duplication and artwork printing.
For your generous donations we have some
prizes that we think you'll like, including VIP packages, signed CD's, posters,
and even a custom built L'Arrivee guitar from our guitarist Corey Fenton! We
can't thank you enough for helping us and are truly grateful for
your support.
