The Strange Life of Walter Moody is a quaint sci-fi film based on the book by Mike Burton. It tells the story of Rhonda, a single mother who works as a waitress in the local diner, and Walter, a cranky old customer with quite the secret: he is the author of reality in the town in which they reside. Blending fantastical elements with a down-to-earth story about the life of a single mother, The Strange Life of Walter Moody is sure to delight sci-fi and indie lovers alike. 

This film features a diverse cast of characters, providing much needed representation for POC and queer women. This film is also produced and directed by a queer woman, and much of the crew are women as well. Supporting this film is one step towards lifting up voices that aren't typically represented in the mainstream and creating a more diverse media landscape. 

Our budget is much smaller than most feature film budgets are, but we still need enough money to pay everyone who works on the project as well as other expenses. The plan is for this film to be made in 3D, which also increases expenses. Our crowdfunding goal is only a portion of the funds we plan to raise for this movie - the rest will be a combination of grants and investments.
