Short Summary
Hello Everyone! I'm Jessica Duclos(www.jessicaduclos.com), the producer and actress of the exciting Off-Broadway Play "The Tiger" written by Murray Schisgal. I am extremely passionate about this theater production directed by acclaimed Serbian director Sanja Bestic(www.sanjabestic.com) and co-starring James Lee Taylor, recognized International model and writer. (www.jammytaylor.com)
ABOUT THE STORY:
An intelligent and culturally adept mail-carrier living in a rundown New York City apartment passes his miserably reclusive days lamenting the society around him for their senseless conformity and absence of elevated perception.
His already waning patience for mankind eventually bursts, driving him to perform an act of defiance against humanity:
kidnapping an unwary young woman off the streets and imprisoning her in his apartment building’s basement. There he will assert the same dominance and control over her that he had been unable to have over society.
Their torturous game of cat-and-mouse eventually leads to a number of curiously complex revelations from both the hunter and the caged victim, and it is these heavy expurgations that turn this mail-carrier’s plan into an even more labyrinthine ordeal.
We need your help in bringing this amazing story to life! I am not sponsored by any company or theater and we are putting this show up from scratch!!
Any contribution from you will help us to fund this project. $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 or more!!! Whatever you can give will be helpful! Anything is appreciated and accepted. Please help us to bring this amazing show to LIFE!
What We Need & What You Get
We need to raise $10,000.00 for this show and we know that with your help we can DO IT! We can all be a part of creating magic on stage!
The money will go to paying for: Theater space in the heart of the Theater District in NYC (312 West 36th Street @8th Avenue, 1st floor), rehearsal space for our amazing actors, the costumes, set design and advertising! This is a non-paid gig for all of the actors and the crew but if we are can fund all of these things, with your help, then I would LOVE to give our cast & crew something for all of their hard work and passion!
AND there are some perks for you, the contributor! Check out our perks section to see how you can get a shout out on our FACEBOOK page (www.facebook.com/thetigerplay ), a signed "Tiger" poster from the cast and crew, your name on our website ( www.thetigerplay.com ), and free tickets to the show!!
If we do not reach our goal the money we raise will still go to funding for Theater space, rehearsal space and the costumes/set for the show. But I am confident that we will reach our goal with your help!
