The Way We Haunt Now is a lighthearted horror audio drama about friendship, found family, and fighting the narratives that try to define us – even in the afterlife. Oh, and ghosts. Did we mention ghosts? Listen to the first two seasons (and 5-episode miniseries) here.
Season One followed dual protagonists, Eulalie Reed and Frankie Summerson, on their crash course toward self-fulfillment, friendship, and community as Eulalie struggled to make sense of life with her new, unintended, roommate – Frankie – a young woman new to the afterlife. With the help of a supportive team of ghosts, Frankie learns to haunt responsibly, Eulalie learns to deal with her newfound sensitivity to spirits and we learn that the afterlife is a wild place.
In Season Two, Eulalie, Frankie, and the rest of our core cast figure out how to pick up the pieces from last season's drama, which means: rescue Frankie from her fate, and, in the case of our intrepid team of ghost hunters, pinpoint what went wrong with their exorcism. Frankie is on the cusp of a major decision that will determine her ghostly future. Stay with The Apartment or find them a new ghost to bond with? The ghost hunters, meanwhile, had noticed an odd increase in poltergeists close to home.
Season Three, our series finale, follows Frankie and our ever-growing gang of ghosts, ghost hunters, and the humans caught between both groups as they grapple with big choices that come with big consequences. What will Frankie do with her afterlife? Why are there suddenly so many poltergeists in the Portland area? Is there a connection to Frankie’s family history? And what’s with Eulalie’s new penchant for doodling ominous faces??? These questions and more will take you for a fun, scary ride on this third and final season of The Way We Haunt Now! Courtney Floyd – Creator, Lead Writer, voice of Eulalie
Courtney Floyd is a neurodivergent author of speculative fiction. She has a PhD in British Literature and a penchant for irreverent literary allusions. A Viable Paradise alum and member of Codex, her short fiction can be found in Small Wonders, Apex’s Strange Libations anthology, and Fireside Magazine. Georgia Mckenzie – Co-Writer, Voice of Josie
Georgia Mckenzie is a writer, director, voice actor. They are creator, writer, director & voice of Clarity on the Fast Track to 40 podcast, Monica in Ostium podcast and various other characters in podcasts such as Victoria's Lift, Copperheart & more. When they're not doing that, they're a science & government communications specialist so they can do more audiodramas. They also play the know-it-all sustainability and weird vehicle fan cohost on What Drives Us and all things geeky special guest on The Vertical Panel podcast.

What We Need & What You Get
Season three is supported in part by the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, but we need your help to cover the rest of our expenses. Here is a breakdown of our budget, almost all of which goes directly to the cast and crew:
- Sound Design & Script Editing: $4150 (2k already covered by grant funding!)
- Voice Acting: $4000
- Writing: $650 (350 pages of ghoulish goodness)
- Transcription: $400
- Operations: $914 (perks, IGG fees, etc)
In other words, we need $8114 to break even on production! But Courtney has already paid for some expenses out of pocket, so our basic goal is: $5,000. That will allow us to cover remaining sound design and voice acting expenses as well as IndieGoGo platform fees and perk production expenses.
At each of the following milestones, we’ll release a ghost hostage… Err hold sticker pack and swag giveaways! Everyone who has pledged at the $5 level will be entered automatically, and a backer name will be chosen at random. If we fully fund, we’ll hold a swag pack giveaway for backers at the $5 or $15 levels.
