We are so eager to share with you a product innovation that both Maya (my daughter) and myself are very passionate about! 

We have started working on The Wellcome Mat concept sometime back, and well before this global event that kept us stuck happened. However, despite the fact that many studies have confirmed that shoe soles are a key carrier of germs*, bacteria and viruses, yet the consumer awareness was not there and it would have taken huge investments and resources to educate the consumer and establish the need, thus that delayed our launch.

What happened in these last 2 months has played a big role in increasing the level of awareness behind healthy living and hygienic habits, and shed more light about how shoe soles play a role in the spread of viruses and germs. Many recent studies came to confirm that our shoes can spread bacteria, dangerous microorganisms and the list goes on and on. Suddenly, the launch of The Wellcome Mat has become more urgent since its proposition became even more relevant, and a perfect solution according to the times we're living.

However, this unpredicted event left each of the team members stranded at a different continent. Me in Montreal-Canada, Maya in Shropshire- UK, and our prototype and our design team in Dubai-UAE. Yet, when there is a will there is a way, and against all odds, we managed to finalize all production and communication details and we are starting the first production run this week.

We believe that the IndieGoGo platform is the best launchpad for our new product innovation which will allow us to reach the global market given that IndieGoGo backers are influencers and opinion leaders in their own communities. The backing funds will help us scale up our production volumes, thus allowing us to achieve economy of scale efficiencies.
