Thirsty Bike
My name is Will Adams and I am currently about 1,200 miles into a 16,000 mile trek from Augusta, Georgia and ending in Ushuaia, Argentina on a motorized bicycle I built.
I'm filming a documentary of my journey that shows what it takes to get from Augusta, Ga all the way to the southern tip of Argentina, on my own homebuilt transportation.
I'll be sharing the amazing scenery, diverse cultures, as well as the day to day challenges and triumphs I'll be facing.
I am also raising awareness for the growing global water crisis and chronicle what Water Missions International is doing in Latin America to solve this massive global problem.
I will be donating a portion of the money I raise along my way as well as part of the profit from the documentary to them.
I need your help though
I need at least $12,000 to keep on running south. The money will go to things like
-visas
-boarding crossing fees
-food
-gear
as well as all the unexpected expenses involved in an 8 month long international expedition.
I have a lot of great rewards to offer and if you have an adventurous spirit, some of my rewards will be right up your alley.
The Impact
This project is part of my soul. I've spent the last four years planning this expedition and building the bike. I have had to overcome a constant barrage of obstacles and setbacks along the way, the biggest of which was getting hit by a car during a test trip that resulted in 2 knee surgeries replacing a total of 9 ligaments, and a year to recover and rehab but now I'm ready to hit the road.
Other Ways You Can Help
Even if you can't help out financially, remember that getting the word out by sharing the project on your Facebook, Twiiter, email, telephone, VHF radio, string and a cup treehouse phone or however you like to communicate is very valuable as well.
