Tiny Pin Friends!
If you're like me, you're probably running low on places to display your enamel pins. These one-inch hard enamel pin friends are designed to fit in those awkward little spaces between larger pins, patches, and buttons.
The Designs!

The designs include a narwhal (a slight recolor of the first pin I made), a capybara with a tangerine on its head, and a thylacine. I don't have plans for stretch goals but if there's enough interest, I might run a second campaign for fund more pins.
Note that designs may change slightly as part of the manufacturing process, although they should be pretty close to the posted art.
The pins are made of hard enamel and have two points on the back so they will stay in place and not twist around. They come with rubber pinbacks that are high quality and won't slip.
Who Am I?
Hello! I'm Kate Shaw, host (and everything else) of Strange Animals Podcast, a weekly podcast about living, extinct, and possibly imaginary animals. Last fall I ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to launch a book called Beyond Bigfoot & Nessie: Lesser-Known Mystery Animals from Around the World. That has nothing to do with pins!
But since I'll be hand-selling the book at various conventions this summer, I thought it would be fun to have some enamel pins to sell too. Besides, I just really love pins! I got this little guy made and fell in love with the process. I want to make more!

What We Need
The minimum order for a pin design is 100 pins. The typical cost for an order of 100 hard enamel pins ranges from $200 to $300 depending on various factors (Mr. Narwhal cost $300). Therefore, I need approximately $250 per pin design to cover my costs, plus packaging and postage to send pins out to backers.
The designs are made by me and will be manufactured through Yourstuffmade.com. Enamel pins are all manufactured in China, but Yourstuffmade is committed to ethical labor practices.
When Will You Get Your Pins?
The designs are ready, so as soon as funding reaches the minimum goal I can get the ordering process started. It takes about a month for the pins to be made, maybe a bit longer depending on how many other people across the world also want pins made at the same time.
As soon as I have the pins, I'll start shipping them to backers.
Risks & Challenges
Since I've had a pin made, I'm pretty comfortable with the process. There may be issues with shipping and manufacturing that can delay the pins, though. Another big boat might get stuck somewhere. Also, there's still a pandemic causing issues all down the line.
I'll keep everyone updated about any delays and will get these pins sent to backers as soon as possible!
