Most people don't know - even on airplane mode, your GPS location is still easily trackable. When you put your phone inside of TOCA, the electromagnetic signals are blocked, which ensures your safety from any third-party intrusion.

In the age of big data, corporations are buying, analyzing, and selling our location information for marketing purposes. With TOCA you neutralize yourself from appearing in these transactions.

What is a Faraday Pocket? 

The Faraday Pocket is made of a textile technology (EMF blocker) named after an experiment called Faraday Cage. In 1836, English scientist Michael Faraday demonstrated that it is possible to block electromagnetic fields by coating a cage in metal foil. He then discharged a high voltage signal from an electrostatic generator on the outside of the cage. With an electroscope, he measured that there was no electric charge present inside.

Ok. And why do I need a Faraday Pocket? 

Our Faraday Pocket protects you from radiation up to 99%. 

Activating Airplane mode is not enough:

When activating airplane mode, your phone is just not sending information to the server anymore, but is still receiving. You are being tracked by GPS, for example.

Turning off your phone is not enough:

Even when you turn off your phone, it can still send and receive information. For example: in a recent BBC interview, Edward Snowden talks about Dreamy Smurf. This technology is capable of “turning your phone on and off without you knowing.”

A Faraday Cage will never guarantee 100% of blockage:

It always depends on the strength, frequency, and distance between the receiver and the transmitter. The same works for the Faraday Pocket of TOCA. Depending on where you are in the city and which kind of antenna(s) you are connected with, the signal can be stronger than the blockage level* of the metal fabric.

Will my phone fit?

Most likely yes. There will be two different sleeve sizes, one for the smaller and one for the bigger phones. We will ask you about your phone size once the campaign succeeds. The following extremely large devices won´t fit inside the TOCA sleeve:

 - Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0;

- Huawei Honor Note 8;

- Sony Xperia Z Ultra; Sony Tablet P 3G;

- LG Optimus L3 E400; HTC Nexus 9;

- Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro or any bigger than (165mm x 82mm).

 Our suggestion so far: 

To have a real offline experience with your smartphone - besides taking the battery out - we suggest you activate the Airplane Mode, put inside the Faraday Pocket of your TOCA and fold twice until the magnets closed it. In this way, the smartphone not only stops sending information but also stops receiving information, because the metal fabric blocks* the signals coming from the antennas around you.
