The Campaign:

Tony's Backstage Pass is a biweekly Vodcast (Video Podcast) about the music industry. We have filmed 24 episodes and personally funded season 1. These episodes include very special guests like Todd Tilghman, Cowboy Mouth, and the Iron Maidens. We have legends like James Burton and Hartley Peavey, we have industry professionals like Tom Weber who was Eddie Van-Halen’s guitar tech, and many more amazing guests.

We have learned so much going through this process, and we feel the best way to move forward is to put this series out as a vodcast. We need your help funding some post-production of the episodes and marketing/ promotion of the show. We are asking for your support to help us get across the finish line.

We will be offering some special incentives and a few perks. We mostly ask that if you are a fan of music, a musician, or just want to help, we could really use your support. We hope you love our vision and will assist us in giving the real music industry a voice and an outlet by helping us release Tony’s Backstage Pass as a vodcast.

The Budget:

  • Post-production
  • Marketing & Promotion of series

Our Story:

Tony's Backstage Pass is grassroots, self-funded, and a totally independent vodcast. We started shooting the Backstage Pass in the spring of 2020. As soon as we started sending out our pilot, we have been in negotiations with many major TV networks. It has been a long road trying to navigate through all the politics of the networks, and with two industry strikes and an election next year we decided that releasing this series as a vodcast made the most sense.

Our friend singer/songwriter Carl Ray summed up best why there is a need for this show: “There is a gap in the music industry with respect to this kind of program. I'm glad that Tony’s Backstage Pass is filling this gap. What an honor to be part of music history.”

The Show:

Tony’s Backstage Pass is an American music and travel vodcast show that explores the art & culture of the music industry. Tony strips back the curtain and talks to the real people behind the scenes, while honoring music icons of the past and present. If you love music, or are a musician, this show is a must watch!!!

The Creation:

Along time ago in a galaxy far, far away an idea was born, an idea to do a music show. Barnes & Co asked me what kind of show we could do using my musical background.

This was during the shutdown and there was no touring or live shows being produced, so if you know anything about musicians we can't sit around for too long. We all started calling each other knowing we were all just sitting around the house, and I had some of the best conversations catching up with friends and telling old war stories etc...

It was these conversations that sparked the idea of a show that highlights all of the behind-the-scenes people that work in the music industry.

Production:

The Barnes & Co production team is a very special group of people, they are all artists, musicians, photographers, and storytellers.

Dave Barnes (CEO) is an Emmy Award winner and has over 40 years’ experience in the industry.

Their credits include multiple reality-based TV shows that have been featured on the Discovery Channel, Pureflix, Destination America, Amazon, and various streaming networks.

Episode 1:

The series kicks off with Tony travelling to Shreveport Louisiana to visit with his buddy and guitar legend James Burton.

James’s resume reads like a who’s who of the music industry, from his famous bosses, Ricky Nelson, Elvis, John Denver, Frank Sinatra, and so many more. This Rock-N-Roll Hall of Famer opens up his studio and gives a very rare look into this legend’s world.

He tells some amazing stories that many have never been told publicly before, while sharing memories of the great career he has had.

Join in and get to know this legend of the music industry. We’ll share a few laughs, get to hear some amazing stories, and even sit in on a jam session.

When Tony says he pulls back the curtain, this episode is a prime example of what to expect from this series podcast

Guests:

Every episode of Tony’s Backstage Pass is filled with amazing guests. Season 1 is filled with legendary musicians such as, James Burton (Elvis), Dave Ellefson (Megadeth) & Cowboy Mouth, to legends of the music industry like Hartley Peavey, Tom Weber (EVH Tech) and Josh Vittek (Sheptone).

You get to meet new artists like Hannah Mahute (Jumping the Gun), Britt Gully and Daniel Boone, professional songwriters like Jacky Jack White, and Carl Ray. We even sit down with the “Voice” season 18 winner Todd Tilghman and season 21 contestant Barrett Haynes.

We travel to historic locations like the Temple Theater, and the Riley Center, and we honor legends of the past like Jimmy Rogers (Godfather of Country Music) and the Queen of the Gypsies.

Like any musician on tour, you gotta stop and eat so we stop and visit some great restaurants and breweries along the way. Every episode is filled with great people and interesting stories, you’ll learn so much about music history and what happens behind the scenes, from the people that live it.

This is your Backstage Pass!!!

Live Performances:

“You can't do a vodcast about the music industry and not have some musical performances, it's kind of what musicians do when we get together. The guests not only bring us their stories, but they lend us their talents.

Tony’s Backstage Pass is not about awards won, or records sold, it’s about the human side of these artists that the public usually don't get to see.”

" Revisiting this record after being away from it for so long was kind of like going home", says Tony Pasko about his new release "Duck Days".

This 13-song album was recorded years ago in Mississippi, but never released.

Duck Days is a musical reflection of A&E's #1 Mega-Hit TV show Duck Dynasty. This record takes you back to when the Robertson’s dominated the air waves and it seemed everyone wore camouflage and had long beards.

“I recorded this album years ago and meant to release it when Duck Dynasty was still on the air, but when the show ended that gave me an opportunity to do different styles of music.
