Your brother's a prick. He's been staying on your sofa for a week. He eats your food. He's eyeing up the lady next door. And now he's going to take your wok.
What would you do?
Smash him in the face with said wok of course. Now your brother might be dead. This is not good. Then your mum calls. This is going to be an interesting afternoon...
Too Many Cooks is a dark short comedy film about the horrific accidents that define our lives, and specifically the ones that involve woks and our brothers' faces.
Shot over an annoyingly sunny weekend in April, Too Many Cooks takes place in a local flat in South London. The crew consists of friends and colleagues, who should have better things to do over a glorious Saturday and Sunday.
Kit was hired from a variety of delightful souls around the city via Fat Lama. Food was provided by director Lyle Bushe in the form of 3kg of spaghetti (which, you know, is pretty much the weight of a car nowadays). Costume came in the guise of Lyle's rather outrageous Italian pyjama shorts...
What you're funding: -
- Expenses for the world's greatest cast and crew.
- Post production costs.
- Film Festival entry fees, with the aim for local heavyweights such as The London Short Film Festival.
- Hilarity.
Any money you can spare at all would be hugely appreciated and anyone who does so will be credited in the film. Keep the youth of today off the streets and let them stay inside with woks, dressing gowns and copious amounts of fake blood...
