TRANSPORT
REFUND – Your unique stop to claim refunds for transportation problems
Ever experienced delays
while travelling in train or bus? Or cancelled or delayed flights? Or denied boarding? Or
lost luggage?
Have you always been
compensated and got refunded?
Transport-Refund app
will change your way of dealing with such problems. You will get a clear answer
on the amount of your refund. You will be assisted to forward your claim in
order to obtain compensation.
You only have to answer
a few simple questions on your case. The Transport-Refund app facilitates every
step.
The
app covers flight, train and bus
For the first time, an
app will cover the three main ways of transport. Domestic or international
flights, train and bus service, for a multitude of countries.
It will provide answers
in case of late or cancelled flights, trains and buses. Boarding denied, lost
luggage, discrimination for disabled persons. It will help to implement rights
without the need to research and read complex legal texts.
The
app is entirely customized
The app will run on the
website transport-refund.com, on IPhone and all other smartphones.
Users may use it in
their own language and for their specific situation. The questions to which a
reply is expected have the only purpose to provide a clear and adapted
statement as to their rights.
The statement provided
will consider the user’s specific situation (transport type, routes, problem).
Simplifying
to the most possible extent any claim procedures
Answers may be provided
by clicking simply on the alternatives suggested by the app. After 5-7 answers
(depending on the user’s concrete case), appears a clear statement. This
indicates the exact amount that the operator has to refund. Even while being on
the trip, the user knows exactly what to do. This takes only a few minutes.
In a second phase, the
user may – but is not obliged to - require assistance to defend his case with
the operator. Documents may be uploaded online.
No fee has to be paid
by the user for getting a correct answer as to the extent of his rights. Only
in case assistance is provided and results in a refund that a fixed fee is due.
No need to read long
and complicated legal texts. No need to request information from the operator
and to research its general terms and conditions.
We
are raising money to finish the app
We have up to now
developed algorithm for four countries in three languages.
All the funds raised
will be used to finalize the app and ensure its correct functioning.
All statements provided
by the app will need to consider international law, national rules and general
terms of transport operators, whatever applicable. A lawyer has therefore to
check the specific situation for each country covered by the app. Correct and
reliable information is the essential result of the app.
Translation has to be
made to offer users the choice to use the app in their own language.
At the launch of the
app, it will provide up-to-date and reliable information for more than 35
countries and in more than 20 languages.
The funds raised will
serve to pay lawyers and transport experts in the respective countries for
ensuring the reliability of the information. As well as translators and engineers
to integrate this information into the app.
A
budget of USD 8,000 per country
We foresee for each
country (on the basis of a number of 35 countries) lawyer and translation costs of USD 8,000.
Integration of
country’s specific algorithm will cost USD 20,000.
Cross
Borders, an internationally working consulting firm, the right partner for this
project
We at Cross Borders
have worked in the field of passenger rights for many years. A brochure has
already been written three years ago. Since then, we are working on moving the
advice to the entirely digital world and providing a tool to facilitate at most
the process of requesting information and claiming refunds.
We are passionate at
providing simple but effective tools for citizens. “Simple” means for us to
ensure that complex subjects are rendered understandable and usable, through a
great quality work.
Thank you for your support. Please get the word out and make some noise about our campaign. Do not forget to use the Indiegogo share tools.
