Thanks For Checking Out Our Project!
We are Gina (18) and Arjuna (19) a young filmmaking/photographing couple from the Netherlands. For our newest project, will be filming a documentary, start vlogging and publishing photos. But why is this so different than all the other folks doing this, you might ask. This is a mobile project, filmmaking from the perspective of two young nomadic supertramps!
This journey will take us all across Europe. From the Netherlands, to the Arctic and back down to the Spain, through more than 21 different countries! A distance of over 9000 miles (15000km to be exact) and we expect it to take us 6 months to make the trip and film all the footage for both the documentary and our vlogs. We have always been dreaming about traveling the globe for a living. So we want to make our career as "Digital Nomads". With our first project, this will be a first step into the rest of our new lives!
What’s Our Plan?
In May 2017, we want to embark on a trip with a campervan (which we will convert ourselves) from the Netherlands to North Cape (Norway, north) and from Scandinavia after the summer to Tarifa (Spain, south).
The Documentary
In this film we will visit different innovative projects around the continent that help creating a cleaner and more sustainable future for us all. We believe that there are alternative ways of keeping our productivity up, as a human race, but without hurting the planet we actually live on. We expect the documentary will air the first week of January 2018.
New Kids On The Vlog
We will be blogging weekly and daily upload via Instagram. Our YouTube videos will be uploaded twice a week (if we get the hang of it, we’ll try doing it daily).
Photography
After the trip, we will transform all the photographs taken on the trip into a beautiful photobook of wonders. It will feature high quality imagery you can also order printed on premium metal. Follow us on www.instagram.com/travelingterranauts or visit our website www.travelingterranauts.com for our latest photographs.
What Will Your Donation Do For The Project?
Even though we will be living on a budget and saving money prior to the start of this project, we need some financial support in order to get this traveling manifestation of goodness off the ground. Don't worry, we will be penny-pinching as expected of two Dutchies.
But for the one still doubting:
- Fuel to make those miles (kilometers as we prefer to measure, but miles sound cooler)
- Conversion materials for the bus
- Several nutritious substances we call 'food' and hygiene (to hide our human odors through the camera)
- And of course the amazing rewards we will be sending you!
Those prizes are exposed on the right side of this page, you'll love 'em!
Your Contribution Makes A Change!
Even if you are not at all interested in the trip, you should make a donation anyway. Why? Because in our documentary we want to raise awareness for climate change, the current state of our planet and how we can try to fix it. So if we want our (grand)children to grow up on a healthy planet, we should start getting our message out RIGHT NOW!
We have come a long way from where we started, and our narrow timeframe motivates us to keep taking big steps. We have faith our project will succeed and we will reach our own goals as well!
Our Story Has No Worst Case Scenario
But we do want to inform you there might be some complications that could cause a delay or change of plans.
- A major car accident will definitely be a major issue if it comes to delivering our product on time
- Even if our relationship would end at some point on this trip, we agreed to finish it as professionals.
Other Ways You Can Help Without Donating Money
For those of you who can not provide shiny ducats to the expedition we have listed some ways you can help us out:
- Share our project on (all of) your social media
- If you'd like your music/(fan)art to be featured in our videos in exchange for a nice credit, please contact us
