TRUE DARK is an idea from the dark and twisted mind of Swiss writer/director Alex Boutellier. Alex grew up in a backwater part of Switzerland where people still follow old customs and take their folklore really seriously. One of these customs is for Saint Nikolas to visit the children on the 6th of December and depending on whether they were naughty or nice either give them presents or have them beaten by his assistant Schmutzli. If a kid was really really bad, it was said that Saint Nikolas and Schmutzli would stick him or her in a sack and drag them off to his hut in the woods, never to be heard from again.

SANTA KIDNAPPING
TRUE DARK is all about "what if this is true?" and follows the fate of a boy as he is taken by Santa and his helper. Will he survive? Will we see him again?
Help us film this twisted tale and get it out of Alex' system!

What do we need money for?

We are trying to make this movie happen with the least cost possible, however, there are some things we just can't get on the super cheap:

Some actors
A stuntman for the car scenes
Some professional equipment (our movie plays mainly at night, so we have to get some lights and a camera that can actually shoot with very little light)
Food (we have to feed our crew)
Some travel expenses for the people we asked to help us with the movie
Some location work (making a cabin look like Santa's lair is kinda hard)

Should we raise more than $6000, we will spend it on getting better equipment and paying at least a little bit more to the the actors and the crew.
