Snoring is caused by an obstruction of breath in your airway while you’re asleep. Especially when sleeping on your back, your muscles relax, and the soft tissue in your throat drops into your airway. The obstructed airflow makes a vibration that causes you to snore.
 

Your Tuwan pad is connected to a small electronic device called the “Bedsider” which you’ll keep on your bedside table. It can accurately detect over 90% of your snores during the night.
 

The Bedsider effectively detects your snores using its sophisticated patented algorithm. After detection, it signals the anti-snoring pad, which very precisely turns your head to the side by activating a silent pump that inflates and deflates 4 air bags inside the pad under your pillow.

This gentle and precise movement stimulates the soft tissue obstructing your breath, enlarging your airway and reducing your snoring. Your snores stop, and you and your partner both sleep more soundly!

FAQ - About the Device

Q: Does the smart anti-snoring product need to be plugged in all the time while using?

A: Yes, the device should always be plugged in during work. However, electricity just goes to the bedsider, the product’s in-bed sub-unit (the pad or pillow) is completely free of charges or radiation. Please feel free to use.

 Q: Anti-snoring actions are conducted by air bag inflation/deflation, would the air bags burst?

A: No, air bags won’t burst in normal use. Single air bag’s maximum pressure endurance is 150KPA which means it could load 3 normally weighted adults to sit on it. Moreover, there is a control in the circuit to avoid pumping all the time.

Q: I just started using my new product, have not gotten used to it yet. When I was sleeping, the air bag inflated up, pushed my head and waked me up, what should I do?

A: Some people are sleep-sensitive, it may take some time for them to get used to the product.

Please go to “Settings” --> “Anti-snoring Action” -> “Sensitivity Adjustment”, switch it to a lower sensitivity level, in order to reduce the maximum height of air inflation.

Q: What is the difference between this smart anti-snoring pad/pillow and other products in the market?

A: Firstly, different from most similar category of products in the market, the in-bed sub-unit of this product - the pad or pillow - is free of charges or radiation, that means this product is safe enough for use.

Secondly, air pressure sensoring technology was utilized by this product, which accurately detects the user’s head position, in order to offer targeting and accurate anti-snoring actions for the user. Also, this could avoid embedding electronic components into the pad or the pillow.

Q：What should I do if I felt my pillow raised up too high?

A: Please change the setting in the app: “Settings” -> “Anti-snoring Settings” -> “Inflatable Height Adjustment”, choose a lower inflatable height. Also, in “Sensitivity Adjustment”, you could choose a lower sensitivity level.

Q：Why does the smart anti-snoring pillow inflate up when there is no snoring sound?

A: Snore detection of the smart anti-snoring pillow is based on algorithm, some rhythmic sounds or vibrations may be wrongly recognized, but this won’t affect much. You may also low down its sound sensitivity level to reduce the possibility of wrong detection.

Q: Sometimes, I can hear a slight short “clicking” sound coming out from the bedsider, what is it?

A: The pad or the pillow processes air pressure detecting frequently, which lasts for 0.2 seconds each time. Some sleep-sensitive users may feel about it. This is not of quality problem which won’t affect your use.

FAQ - App Use

Q: How do I connect a device?

A: Please download and install the Anti-snore Solution app to your mobile phone, turn on Bluetooth of your mobile phone, follow the instructions to connect to the device.

After your app is connected to the device, all data will be synchronized from the device and be generated into a report. If the device is unplugged and turned on again, you will need to re-connect the app.

Q: Is it possible to use the smart anti-snoring product without connecting to the app?

A: The product can be used even if not connected with the app. When snores are detected, the air bag anti-snoring actions will be triggered, however, if the device is not connected with the app, no report is going to be generated on the app.

Q: While using the product, could I turn off Bluetooth, power off the mobile phone or put it far away from the bedsider?

A: No problem, the app does not affect the device even if the Bluetooth is off, even if your mobile phone is turned off or be placed away from the device. Just please note, in that case, the data might not be presented onto the report immediately. No data report shows up until you turn on Bluetooth, open the app and have it connected with the device again.

Q: What should I do if the app does not synchronize data?

A: After using, if you find there is no data in the report or you are not able to refresh data, firstly, please check and make sure the Bluetooth is turned on and the app is well connected with the device. Please try to terminate the app and open it again. It will take some time to synchronize data. During the process of synchronization, do not operate your mobile phone. After this, the data will be presented in the report.

Q: What does it mean for “Anti-snoring Action On/Off”?

A: When”Anti-snoring Action” is switched off (Inactive), the device just monitors snoring and records the data without offering any anti-snoring actions; when it is switched on (Active), anti-snoring actions will be offered when snores are detected. The user could compare the results from both modes to judge the effectiveness to him/her.

Q: How does smart anti-snoring product stop snoring?

A: Air inflation/deflation of the smart anti-snoring product gently turns the user's head aside, relieves air way obstruction, so that to reduce snoring.

At present, except for using respiratory machine or accepting surgery treatment, changing sleeping position is the most effective way to treat snoring.

Q: Is the smart anti-snoring product effective for all snorers?

A: The smart anti-snoring product is effective for most obstructive snoring, but it may be not so effective in improving central type or mixed type of snoring.

Q: Is it possible for the Smart Anti-snoring products to distinguish snores from husband and wife?

A: The Smart Anti-snoring product features snore detection, but it may not be able to distinguish snores from two people who are very close from each other. We suggest that you could adjust the device’s sensitivity to “Low” level and put the device closer to the person whom you want it to work for.

Q: Is it ok for children, old people or pregnant women to use the product?

A: Children or pregnant women are not recommended to use the product.

People over 80 years old are not recommended to use the product.

Q: Does the smart anti-snoring pillow produce big noises? Will the noise affect the sleep of my bed partner?

A: The current noise volume is 35dB. which is lower than general ambient noise and much less than the noise generated by air conditioning or air cleaner. Please make sure the environmental noise no more than 40dB in your room.
