Friends, webseries fans, countrymen, lend me your ears
I'm Jessamyn, the head of Travelling Lemon Productions and showrunner for Twincidents. You may know me from my work as a co-creator of Project Dashwood or one for the several other literary-inspired webseries I've been privileged to work on. For Twincidents, I'm joined by an amazing team of talented young women around the world who've developed and written the story with me, and we can't wait to bring it to life.
To do that, we need your support! Project Dashwood was produced on virtually no budget--my two co-creators and I chipped in a few bucks here and there for props, snacks, and things like memory cards, but almost everything we used--including the camcorder we shot it on--were borrowed. For Twincidents, we'd like to up the production quality and make the story the best it can be!
Since we're dealing with identical twins, we'll be filming "Parent Trap"-style, with one actress playing two characters. To pull off those special effects, it's important that we can have consistent lighting and good editing software.
If money go before, all ways do lie open
We're hoping to raise enough money to invest in a DSLR camera, a simple lighting kit, mics and sound equipment, and some sundries like camera batteries, memory cards, better editing software, and an extra hard drive for storage. Our goal covers all that, plus perks and Indiegogo fees. Here's the basic breakdown of where the money goes:
And speaking of perks, we have some great ones for you including scripts and postcards from both Project Dashwood and Twincidents, plus the chance to help this series become reality. Be sure to check out all the perks details!

If we don't hit our goal, all the funds left after fulfilling perks and paying fees will still go to equipment and production costs, starting with a camera and working down our list.
If we exceed our goal, we can invest in even better equipment and have budget for things like costumes, props, and snacks. Plus we have some fun bonus content stretch goals for you guys:
Stretch Goals:
$1750 - our lovely Project Dashwood actress Amelia Hahn will come back and film that long-awaited Margaret Dashwood book review.
$2000 - our resident drama queen character Adriana has been a vlogger before. If we hit this goal, we'll film bonus videos of some of her in-world theatre vlogs from "last year".
$2500 - we'll film scenes from Shakespeare's original play A Comedy of Errors with our Twincidents actors.
Gentles, perchance you wonder at this show
Our Story:
In our genderbent update of Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors, join adopted sisters Alex and Drew as they film their quest to find Alex’s birth family. They end up in the town of Ephesus, where drama student/vlogger Adriana’s life is going great - she’s vlogging, she has the lead in the play, and she’s in love with her girlfriend Alex. But everyone encounters more mixups, mayhem, and romance than they bargained for when it turns out the two Alexes are long-lost identical twins.
Our Vision:
Our hope is that this series will bring new perspective to one of Shakespeare's less loved comedies by adding challenges facing modern day foster and adopted youth and their families--whatever that may look like.
Our Team:
The creative team behind this show has worked on just about every LIW you can think of including The Misselthwaite Archives, Northbound, Away From it All, Merry Maidens, and WH Academy. We've been working hard to develop a story that will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between!
The course of true webseries never did run smooth
As with any film project, there's always a chance things can go wrong: cast or crew might bow out, equipment might break, locations might become unavailable. Any of those things might delay the project for a while. If we learned one thing on Project Dashwood, it's to be prepared for anything.
Give me your hands, if we be friends
Even if you don't have the means to contribute financially, you can still help!
