THE STORY
The team behind “Twinge” are enthusiastic young people, eager to work and explore the creative possibilities that filmmaking allows, visual and sonic.
This film tells the story of Adam, a young man that struggles with social anxiety, that accepts to go on a date with his co-worker. He turns to his therapist for help, so they role-play a date in order to prepare him. Adam’s immaginative mind only makes this a more daunting situation with all sorts of obstacles.
SOCIAL ANXIETY
Social anxiety is the fear of social situations that involve interaction with other people. You could say social anxiety is the fear and anxiety of being negatively judged and evaluated by other people. It is a pervasive disorder and causes anxiety and fear in most all areas of a person's life. It is chronic because it does not go away on its own. Only direct cognitive-behavioral therapy can change the brain, and help people overcome social anxiety.

"Twinge" is not a film about social anxiety, but a film that addresses this condition through visual storytelling and shows how someone with this condition might feel and react to a certain situation, regarded as normal and casual for most people.

RISKS & CHALLENGES
This film deals with the delicate situation of someone who deals with social anxiety and it is our goal to do everything possible to make it a dignified story that can also be a colorful and thoughtful experience.
Logistically, the number of locations considering the short production period will require maximum concentration and effort from the crew and cast and they are ready to take on that challenge with responsability and faith in the project.
