It's Happening!!!
Oh God! We've been working on this bad boi for more than a year and we're just about ready to release our debut album "Everybody's Worried About Us." The songs have been written, most of the tracks have been recorded and we are in post-production, mixing and mastering the 10-song record. We can't wait to share it with the world, and will release it officially on March 28 at our album release party at Club Bohemia (8 p.m.) with our pals Linnea's Garden, Happy Little Clouds, Eye Witness and OroborO.
Songs to release include Baptism by Walden Pond, Witchcraft, Colorado River professionally mastered beyond its "On the Radio" EP release, and more!
This record will feature Jina Moran on drums, Ben Kotce on atmospheric electronic harmonica and killer bass by Mike Hayden (also of the pop-punk band Allison & Moon).
How You Can Help
We're starting this campaign two months before the album release to ask our fans for a bit of help by pre-ordering the album now, today. Your funds will go toward helping us with recording and equipment costs, as well as our printing costs for making the actual CD packages. If we raise enough funds, we would also love to make vinyl releases and will offer those at our future shows!
We've set a goal of $1,000 with flexible funding, in the hopes that we will raise more but even if it's less, all funds go toward ensuring this album release is a success.
Check out our pre-ordering structure - you can support Tysk Tysk Task directly by pre-ordering and also receiving our personalized art, posters and lyric booklets with designs that have directly inspired our aesthetic and music.
Our Hopes
We are femme-fronted rock, with the hopes that our music empowers and smashes the patriarchy in its small way, while creating relatable songs that inspire others to do the same. Samantha Hartsel and Jina Moran have poured their hearts and souls into this band's formation, and have their bandmates Ben Kotce and Mike Hayden to thank for their continue support and commitment to that mission.
We stand for breaking the stigma of mental health issues. Check out the band's tell-all feature in the Lowell Spin on the subject (surrounding the focus of the band's formation): https://lowellspin.com/2019/12/formed-from-rock...
Listen to our music on Spotify, Bandcamp and anywhere else to get a sense of our style and how this album is going to sound! Our single "Yeah, Right" is streaming everywhere, and can also be purchased for download on Bandcamp here: https://tysktysktask.bandcamp.com/album/yeah-right
Risks & Challenges
No matter how much money is raised in this project, the funds will go directly to ensuring TTTs' music gets out there. We are still working on building our sound and following, having just completed our first tour around New England with TIFFY in January 2020. This money will not go into our pockets, or to buy nicer instruments. We are committed to finishing this album by the end of March and getting it into your hands, no matter the challenges.
Equipment: We may have some challenges in our DIY setup, though we've personally invested in microphones and cables and other equipment and editing programs to make our recording studio as solid as possible, for now. Our hope is that from here, we'll have enough of a foundation to effortlessly release future albums and EPs.
