Thanks for stopping by the crowdfunding page for our new studio album.

After the successful realization of Kent Nielsen's solo debut album 'Shotgun Seat DJ' in 2016, thanks to your support, we are now launching a new project where we would like to ask for your support!

Ukes Of Tomorrow 'Seconds Of Our Lives' - new studio album!
Cranking the volume up to 11 isn’t hard to do. Ukes of Tomorrow pull the plug and offer a different kind of “acoustic evening”. But, although people are often stunned at our interpretations of classics by; The Jam, Joy Division or Sisters Of Mercy, we are now increasingly digging for deeper and not quite so obvious tracks from the back catalogues of; TV Smith, Big Country, Bob Mould, Joe Strummer, The Pogues, Kalashnikov, The Damned or The Descendents – to name just a few. Add to this, the odd folk tune or a nod towards our beloved Grunge era by way of Temple Of The Dog for instance.

The goal of this crowdfunding campaign is to find enough supporters for us to finance mastering, artwork and CD pressing.


Album, Perks & Budget
We transformed Kent’s loft apartment (aptly baptized “The Comfort Inn, Room # 555”) into a studio, whenever we could squeeze in a couple of days off. Manning the desk was none other than famed producer Joszi Sorokowski (everybody from Bobby Byrd over Mad Sin to Pressgang), with his mobile studio, all of which was hauled up on the 4th floor, and down again once the session is over. The view, overlooking the roof tops of Lübeck’s centuries old inner city, is one you wouldn’t want to miss. As for the songs being recorded – they're as good as the view!

And here comes the exciting part: We came up with a bunch of fun perks in return for your support. From a simple download version, signed CDs, to exclusive fan packages and intimate house concerts within your own four walls.

Current state of affairs
All 14 songs have been recorded and mixed, hence we’ve gotten pretty far already. If we reach the campaign goal of EUR 6.350,- , the pressing is secured as well.

The only thing needed now is your support, in order to complete the album. What follows after the studio is routines, that we and the small but efficient team behind us have exercised a number of times in the past.

In the event that the campaign target isn’t reached, we will use any money raised to make the best album we possibly can and all supporters will still receive their perks.

Nachdem wir 2016 das Solo Debüt von Kent Nielsen 'Shotgun Seat DJ', dank Eurer Unterstützung erfolgreich realisieren konnte, haben wir jetzt ein neues Projekt wofür wir Eure Hilfe bräuchte!

Ukes Of Tomorrow 'Seconds Of Our Lives' - neues Studio Album!
Mit Verstärkern rocken können alle. Ukes Of Tomorrow zeigen, dass es auch anders geht. Wir ziehen die Stecker und bieten ein akustisches Erlebnis der besonderen Art. Obwohl viele überrascht sind von unseren Versionen von lieb gewonnenen Favoriten von The Jam, Joy Division, Sisters Of Mercy u. v. a., konzentrieren wir uns als Duo verstärkt darauf, die nicht ganz so nahe liegenden Songs heraus zu picken von TV Smith, Big Country, Bob Mould, Joe Strummer, The Pogues, die dänischen Polit Punks von Kalashnikov, The Damned oder The Descendents – um nur einige zu nennen. Aufgelockert durch den einen oder anderen Folk Song oder ein Tribut an die von uns innig geliebte Grunge Ära, z. B. Temple Of The Dog.

Das Ziel dieser Crowdfunding Kampagne ist es, genügend Unterstützer zu finden um den Mix, Artwork und die CD Pressung zu finanzieren.

Wir verwandelten Kents Dachgeschosswohnung (auch “The Comfort Inn, Room # 555” genannt) in einem Tonstudio. Immer dann, wenn wir ein paar Tage frei hatten. Hinter dem Mischpult saß Produzent Joszi Sorokowski (Die Goldenen Zitronen, Die Mimmis, C.I.A., Pressgang, Bobby Byrd u.v.a.). Dessen mobiles Tonstudio wurde dann in den 4. Stock geschleppt, und wenn die Session vorbei war, wieder nach unten. Der Ausblick über die Dächer von Lübecks Jahrhunderte alte Innenstadt ist eine, die man nicht missen möchte. Was die Songs betrifft, die aufgenommen wurden - das Ergebnis ist sogar besser als die Aussicht!

Und jetzt zum spaßigen Teil. Wir haben uns wieder jede Menge witzige Perks einfallen lassen als Gegenleistung für Eure Unterstützung. Vom einfachen Download, signierte CDs, über exklusive Fanpakete, bis hin zum intimen Akustik Konzert in Deinen eigenen vier Wänden.
