User Experience
Simple to Use
Whenever you're not sure where you parked, just open up the app, and the AR (Augmented Reality) display will tell you where your car is. After the initial set up, the device will memorize the car's location every time you park, so you don't have to do anything. Let your device do the rest. Whether your car is parked underground or on the roof top, the app will always show you on which floor and where your car is parked, giving you a useful and fun AR experience.

Technology
In order to locate your car, we combine GPS(Global Positioning System) and DR (Dead Reckoning) methodology data captured by your device. In DR, we use an Acceleration Sensor (captures the acceleration and deceleration speed), a Gyroscope Sensor (captures the right and left rotation), and a Barometric altimeter (captures the altitude) to locate your car's position. When a GPS cannot be used, we use a combination of these sensors to locate your car. By combining the functions of both the device and the smartphone, we can accurately locate the positioning of your car.

Impact
Although there exists technology that provides more precise positioning information than DR, we believe DR is a simple and extremely useful solution in areas where there are no signals and GPS does not work. By combining DR technology with GPS we have a total positioning tracking device. We are also aiming to use this technology for rescue missions in disaster and underground areas where GPS does not work.

This product will be co-developed between Vanguard Industries Inc, a Japanese hardware startup firm specializing in innovation development, and a major Japanese telecommunications company to realize a simple and new consumer experience. We have accomplishments in developing innovative products, services, and businesses in the past. We will plan, develop, and manufacture this device in Japan using sensor, telecommunication and miniaturization technology enhanced through smartphone development.

Risks & Challenges
There are always risks and challenges in business and life in general but we truly believe that the Ultimate Car Finder will help many people reduce the stress of finding their cars. This technology will also help rescue efforts in disaster areas where GPS does not work. We are at a level of prototyping that makes us confident of the device's performance and capabilities. The fact that the devices are manufactured in-house furthers are confidence in quality assurance. Please note that device functionality could be limited based on your smartphone specifications. The only thing missing part now is the funding to make it widely available to people from all parts of the world.
