I consider myself as a strong feminist and after the success my team and I made with the PSA commercial for the campaign Allow Saudi Women To Drive, I got possessed with doing more women rights related subjects. Subjects that could help to change women lives around the world. For my Graduation final project I wanted to put my passion for fantasy horror and mix it with my believes for women rights.

Short Summary

No one really knows what it means to be a Middle Eastern female, not being able to be independent or even a normal adult. We do live in a mans world. Being controlled by them. The way we talk, behave, dress, work, eat, and love is all after mens permission.

I want to tell Um 7mar's story because I spend my life till now being pushed by society to be a certain way.

What made me think of Um 7mar is how her name was used to scare children to sleep. Ever since I was a child I was fascinated by her story and I wanted to know how she became this way, none of my questions were answered, so I decided to write her story myself.

This film to me is not just about the urban legend Um 7mar, it's also about how women around the world try to hide their true personalty to please society.

What We Need

To get this budget and be able to graduate, I need $30,000. The vast majority of these funds will go to the daily costs of production design and prosthetics and also for the location we have, daily cost for cast and crew, and for the film permits.

The Impact

This is a story that never been told about my cultural and it has never been seen.

After watching this film, I want women to feel free to be who they really are.

The largest challenge we have is funding the project but with your help, we can overcome that.
