UN Commission on the Status of Women 2015

Vivian here, Project Manager and Personal Assistant to Wilda Spalding of the International Human Rights Consortium. #ihrc

I am so excited to be a part of this!

Go Solar is my invitation to you! I am a Climate Leader and mentor - personally trained by the honorable Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Al Gore. I am also an accredited facilitator with Rising Women Rising World. #RWRW

I spent 35 years as a Clarity Project Management software process engineer providing corporate governance via clear metrics. Corporate cultural disruption usually followed but so did profits.

So facilitating transformation is in my bones. My daily labyrinth meditation walk on our farm in North Carolina is a ritual of gratitude. But I hear the earth call MAYDAY - MAYDAY -M'aidez, M'aidez in French translates to Help me, Help me!

So I use the tools offered by Rising Women Rising World #RWRW to help myself and others. Join in and you help too. The Earth is calling. This is the time to answer.

Why are we going to the UN in the first place March 7-20?

We will be one of the thirty thousand non-governmental advocates/activists attending a parallel Forum and will keep the pressure on, networking, lobbying and training a global media spotlight. So you guys will be there too! Follow ‪#‎csw59‬. This is the 20th anniversary! And NOW in NYC in a few weeks they are at it again hammering out policies that will effect you and yours for the next 20 years!

The evidence is increasingly in that empowering women empowers humanity. Economies grow faster, for example, and families are healthier and better-educated.

The Beijing Platform for Action, still forward-looking at 20, offers important focus in rallying people around gender equality and women’s empowerment. Its promises are necessarily ambitious. But over time, and with the accumulating energy of new generations, they are within reach.

We must keep the pressure on!

I am retired and have time to work with this NGO but their funding fell through!

We travel light and cheap but we still need money to get access to lobby and network for the 12 of us!

We are scholars to the Global Education Institute (GEI) that has been gathering gifted individuals from around the world to its formal Programmes begun in Geneva, Switzerland in 1996.

Sponsored since its inception by the nonprofit International Human Rights Consortium (IHRC/CIDH) founded in 1988, GEI scholars learned-by-doing and participated in numerous world summits, UN Human Rights sessions, and regional/local educational and public service projects around the world.  Its scholars live IHRC/CIDH’s motto, “Positive People for Positive Change”.

This GEI Programme Course 315 (C315) in which you are participating by giving has been designed to extend its unique GEI International Public Policy Certificate combining individual research goals with learning to leverage and influence key public policy processes to impact, implement, and support local and global positive, sustainable change.

This Scholars Team continues to reflects IHRC’s modality of combining Academics, Business, Culture, Diplomacy, Excellence, Faith, and the measurability of Geoscientists in an inter-generational, inter-disciplinary, apolitical team commited to bringing to life the spirit behind the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, working towards a world of dignity, equitable sustainable development, and peace.

2015 sees the beginning of the UN Decade of Persons of African Origin and is the International Year of Soils. Climate Change, Equitable Sustainable Development, Gender Equality, Food/Water Scarcity, Wellness, Peace-based Education, Environmental urgencies, and much more will be the ‘agenda’ into which the Team shall enter on the 9th of March.

The Team shall be participating in and presenting seminars, assisting at formal Galas, conferring Ralph Bunche International Medals, and officially launching GEI’s Sustainable Blueprint Initiative subsequent to IHRC/CIDH’s team at Rio+20.  All will be administered through the Winston-Salem, NC GEI Salem Peace Center birthed in January 2015 in the historic City of Winston-Salem, founded as a city of Peace, Salem, Salaam, Shalom, the 18th city to officially commit as one of the world’s “Compassionate Cities”.
