Hello to all my nieces & nephews everywhere!!!

This is your Uncle Scotchy... modern day Bluesman.

I've been through a lot in this world, & I've been a musician/performer for a long, long time.

Music has helped to heal me. I've been lucky to be able to perform professionally for as long as I have. Unfortunately, recording my songs and making records has never really been my focus. Playing gigs has been my world.

In the depths of loss, and depression during the Pandemic, I wrote The Blues Opera; A one man show about my journey as a caregiver for my parents and as a musician. 

My mother's battle with early onset Alzheimer's disease was followed by the physical decline and eventual suicide of my father shortly before the Pandemic. Needless to say, these experiences changed me.

The Blues Opera became a critically acclaimed one man, immersive theatre show, that I performed two runs of due to popular demand. 71 shows in all were performed and the feedback was overwhelming. So many connections with other people's stories that touched them as well.

Now, i'm in the process of rewriting The Blues Opera for a much larger scale production. It will take a lot of hard work and funds, but it will happen. I am now....a storyteller as well.

It occurred to me recently that I have a pile of songs that I wrote, mostly during the darkness of the Pandemic, that I really care for. They mean a lot to me, I seldom perform most live, and they tell a story of who I am and was during that time.

That's how "Leave Uncle Scotchy Alone" was born.

I've never recorded myself before in the singer/songwriter format. Just my stories, stripped down and vulnerable. I decided if i'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do it right...... but I need your help.

Not only did I record just about all of it alone here in my house, (The Junglehouse people call it), but I put together a book. "The Book of Scotchy." It's a collection of my lyrics, notes about the songs/stories, art & pictures.

Here is what I'm asking for your help for...and what I hope to do with that help:

• Vinyl printing
• Book printing
• Mixing/mastering of songs
• Music video
• Boost exposure for songs via streaming platforms when they are released
• Purchase merchandise for sale (shirts, hats, etc.)

The plan is this: 

The funding raised by this campaign will go to the above expenses. 

With every donation of $50 or above, that person will be mailed the album in vinyl, and the book, signed and addressed to the donor.

This full album will not be released via streaming for access until everyone receives their vinyl and book package. Only the friends of Uncle Scotchy who supported this cause will be able to experience these songs and stories first.

After the record, mix/mastering, and book are financed... the rest goes to the other goals.  

Those goals will help these songs to be heard by the rest of the world, via streaming campaigns.

The more your give, the more Uncle Scotchy can do!!!
