Summary

Unholy Cheese is a cheesy horror comedy movie that actually has cheese in it and will feature some iconic members of the cheese industry.

Director/Editor/Producer BEN-DAVID ARMSTRONG and Writer/Producer JOE ECCLES met in the cheese industry and have made two short films together.  The most recent was a part of Stephen King’s Dollar Babies program.

Producer/Actor NICK HOEHN is a Certified Cheese Professional and the owner of a mobile cheese shop, The Roaming Wedge, where he slings cheese throughout Northwest Indiana and Illinois.  He will be making his acting debut in the role of “Cheesemonger.”

We currently have two legends of the cheese industry attached to appear in our movie:  ERIKA KUBICK and TENAYA DARLINGTON!  

We have already filmed one crucial scene at the award winning TULIP TREE CREAMERY in Indianapolis.

The soundtrack will also be amazing, with songs from the iconic ska punk band MUSTARD PLUG and Australia’s thrash metal band PIZZA DEATH, along with an original score by musician/music producer KEM MASTEY.

What We Need

If we are able to reach our goal of $1,500, here is how it will be spent:

• $550 for costumes, props, and fake blood
• $500 for equipment rental, permits, fees, and locations
• $300 to cover the perks we are offering 
• $150 to cover the fees from Indiegogo 

In the event that we exceed our goal, we will be able to feed our cast and crew, who are so graciously giving their time, be able to buy more blood, and offset the fees associated with submitting to film festivals.

We are hoping others who share a passion for cheese and/or horror movies will want to be a part of making the first cheese themed horror movie.  Your support may be the difference between this being a short film or a feature-length film.

Meet The Cast

ERIKA KUBICK

Erika is a Chicago-based cheese priestess and author of Cheese Sex Death: A Bible for the Cheese Obsessed.  Erika believes cheese is the sexiest, holiest food in the world and that we should all pleasure ourselves with it everyday.

TENAYA DARLINGTON

Tenaya is a cheese educator, author, and creator.  She co-hosts tours with Cheese Journeys and has written many books, including Madame Fromage’s Adventures In Cheese:  How to Explore It, Pair It, and Love It, from the Creamiest Bries to the Funkiest Blues.  She also teaches at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

ERIKA EDWARDS

Erika is from the Indianapolis area and when she's not filming movies, you can find her crushing white Monster energy drinks and smoking darts.  She loves UFC and WWE.  She'll be doing her own stunts in the role of "Sister Mary Frances."  Her favorite horror movie is Hereditary and her favorite cheese is Sartori Merlot BellaVitano.

JAKE HUTCHESON 

Jake is the head brewer at Soundgrowler Brewing Co. in Tinley Park.  He will be playing the role of "Nigel Spooner."  His favorite horror movie is Hereditary and his favorite cheese is Smoked Blue Cheese.

JAMES FINCH

James is destined to become the next great antagonist in cinema.  James is a very talented musician who co-owns Scissor Bread Records in Indianapolis.  His style is mostly classic punk rock with over-the-top humor and melt-your-face-off riffs.  James' favorite horror movie is Return of the Living Dead and his favorite cheese is nacho cheese...out of a can...from a gas station.

HOWARD NG

That's the Gnar.  Howard will be playing the role of "Homeless Howard."  His favorite horror movie is The Prophecy and his favorite cheese is Roth 3 Chile Pepper Gouda.

MATT SEREMET

Matt was recently voted The Best Bartender In Northwest Indiana That Listens To Ska.  Matt will be playing the role of "Scoutmaster Matt,"  His favorite horror movie is Evil Dead 2 and his favorite cheese is Cabot Creamery Catamount Hills. 

REBEKAH KAMP

Rebekah is an up-and-coming hairstylist and future scream queen.  Her favorite horror movie is Zombeavers and her favorite cheese is Camembert.

SAVANNAH BEASLEY

Farmer Beasley's favorite horror movie is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and her favorite cheese is pepper jack, because she's spicy.

KELLY GOLASZEWSKI

Not only will Kelly be acting in Unholy Cheese, she will also be helping out with makeup, props, and special effects.  Her favorite horror movie is 2013's Evil Dead.  Her favorite cheese is smoked gouda or anything else that can be smoked.

NICK TURNER

Sometimes we amaze ourselves with our casting abilities.  Casting Nick as Jesus is one of those times.

DEMORA AVARICE

Actress/Model/Entertainer/Cosplayer, Demora Avarice, will have a featured role in the film.
