Hi, we are Vanessa Ofori a luxury menswear brand, the future of Ethnic fashion. Our signature style is: attention to detail, textiles and rich heritage. The good quality fabrics and fastenings are sourced from the UK and majority of the textiles such as cotton linings and glass beads are sourced from Ghana. We always have a model styled as a king and our photoshoots based on the theme royalty, that is because our goal is to make our customers look like modern royalty and feel like a king!
We asked the designer to explain the design process and she said “I love culture, my hobby is traveling and taking pictures of things that inspire me. Taking lots of photos for inspiration is where Art meets Fashion because I would turn the photos into Art work.”
Vanessa the designer became a menswear designer and the reason for this indiegogo campaign. Her first collection, The Afrocentric Style launched 9 years ago at London’s Graduate Fashion Week in June 2014, sponsored by British Vogue. It was her first experience working with a variety of suppliers across the UK. The collection was a success and the feedback from the public was fantastic. Despite the textiles and personalised design features complicating the manufacturing process, Vanessa still enjoy’s going through the process as this is what makes our brand different and unique. This is what makes our clothes high-end slow fashion.
In the future, we would like to branch out into womenswear, because it is something we want to offer exclusively.
