"Unspeakable" is a carefully crafted story that takes you through terror to anger to catharsis. With a script written by horror connoisseurs for horror enthusiasts, a genre so rife with tropes that we as filmmakers felt obligated to dispel with all that you believe is safe and bring a you a new cinematic experience.

"Les Diaboliques" (1955), "Audition" (1999), "Scream" (1996), "Suspiria "(1977) and "A tale of two sisters" (2003).
The film’s message is simple yet it goes beyond a social impact tale or a tail of one girl's empowerment, but rather it wishes to subtly reflect on the portrayal of women in entertainment today both those who won’t allow themselves to be bullied or put down and the ones still seeking to carve their place in it.

Many know the visceral fear of walking alone at night and staying alert but when it happens in a place where you're supposed to feel safe and protected, when it happens at home where can you seek protection? For fear can become a prison of horrors like the paranoia that lingers long after the danger passes.
"Halloween" (1978) dir. John Carpenter
Before terror and confusion seep in, however, “Unspeakable” aims to give space to the visuals and create an atmosphere of dread to give you the high quality entertainment you would wish for and tell a story to reflect on.

Our film builds on the decades old relationship films have had with concept art and suggestive imagery to expand-not only its own colour palette, but create and add its own unique twists to legendary films like Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Les Diaboliques (1955), John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) and Wes Craven’s Scream (1996).

As an independent production with commitment to high quality entertainment the project comes with its fair share of challenges. For the film to come to life and raise the funds necessary we appeal to you the Indiegogo community and your support!

As is the case with any short form content, there are financial challenges involved in backing a work of fiction. Short films often do not earn returns on investment either through festival or Video on Demand screenings therefore we can only take on non-recoupable funding in exchange for perks and credits in “Unspeakable”. In the interim, most of our team has put up their share into funding our film by taking on jobs either within or outside the industry.

This has allowed us to navigate through development and casting successfully but we still need your help to raise an additional £8500 to shoot, edit and deliver our film to you!

Mindhunter (Netflix) dir. David Fincher
Instead of putting the fate of our project in the hands of a few decision-makers, we have decided to appeal to our community of friends, filmmakers, and activists at Indiegogo to fundraise the additional funds we need to bring “Unspeakable” to you and in the process invite you to be part of something much larger still to come.

Anette’s aspirations are to widen and enriching the Finnish film culture with international co-productions and introducing a new kind of storytelling to the world by combining the best of both Nordic and British film in her work.
Daniel is a horror fan who loves the cold and “straightforward” approach of slasher films like “Halloween”, the paranormal aspects of “Poltergeist” and he believes that the real reason the lights go out in an abandoned house is because the ghost is conscious of the production’s budget.
Originally from Portugal he started acting in theatre at a very young age and this, of course, led him to get a bachelor's degree in acting and whilst living in Spain he got complimentary training to his acting cv; street performing, dancing and physical theatre. His inspiration as a screenwriter comes from his memories as child and experiences on the stage.
