You might notice that this page has changed!!
Due to the overwhelming interest and support of our Greenery (living media) campaign we were fortunate to acquire the Feature Film rights to the story of "Urquiri." A super exciting story set in the heyday of the fastest sport on earth Jai Alai.
Based on a true story, this film is about a legendary Professional Jai Alai player named "Urquidi" who set his sights on the American Dream in Miami, Florida.
Urquidi left everything he knew behind in Mexico to live his life on the fast paced circuit of the money sport of Jai Alai.
Rocky meets Boogie Nights
Set in the late 70's and early 80's, Urquidi is a story that brings you through a world of sex, money, drugs and success.
What is Jai Alai?
Jai Alai is a fast paced sport (sometimes called the worlds fastest sport) that used to sell out large arenas (called frontons) nightly. These Jai Alai players carried the same celebrity status as NBA players in their respective cities.
Today Jai Alai is struggling to survive and several venues have closed.
Help us celebrate the legend of Urquidi and support Jai Alai by backing The Greenery's first feature film.
