In fact, because it's got speakers, you can listen to music or have a call while still hearing the road as you jog, bike, skate, or scoot.

UVCWear can run all day with swap-able batteries, and or you can plug it in to a battery pack or charger and keep going non-stop.

UVCWear is waterproof and impact-resistant (IP5x), able to stand up to tough environments.

The outer shell is silicone, which you can wipe-down easily and which helps add additional impact- and water resistance, while keeping UVCWear exceptionally light and flexible.

Masks are important, but aren’t perfect. They can be very uncomfortable to wear, fail to seal 100% around your mouth, and also do not protect your eyes and exposed skin. Over the day they build-up particles on both sides, those breathed towards you and those you exhale, and viruses like COVID-19 can stay alive for days on such surfaces (They also cause CO2 and other toxins you normally exhale to build up, even causing wearers to faint).

UVC light hitting exposed particles will kill it, so if you’re wearing a UVCWear Collar and the light is hitting your mask and face, it’s working to kill viruses and bacteria on those surfaces, as well as bacteria headed your way. While nothing is guaranteed (and we cannot and do not promise to cure, prevent, or treat a disease the FDA!), every little bit helps -- a dead virus or bacteria cannot infect you.

A 2018 study by Columbia University Medical Center’s Center for Radiological Research found narrow-spectrum UVC light was effective at eliminating the H1N1 virus. Columbia University also says it can kill COVID-19, “Far-UVC light has the potential to be a ‘game changer,’” said Dr. David Brenner, professor of radiation biophysics and director of the center. “It can be safely used in occupied public spaces, and it kills pathogens in the air before we can breathe them in.”

A 2014 study in the American Journal of Infection Control found that portable UVC devices killed 100% of commonly-found bacteria within five seconds and inactivated 90% of spore-forming bacteria, which are harder to kill, within 40 seconds.

A 2015 study in Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease of a portable UVC light found it capable of killing between 94.98% and 99.99% of germs when used properly.

Our team has made multiple hardware devices protecting thousands of people around the United States. This device is no different in our diligence for ensuring we get proper certifications. We have filed a patent (pending), and intend to file more. We have also scheduled our FCC testing, with our existing partners, to ensure the device operates legally.

While UVC has proven highly-effective at killing viruses and bacterias, the law does not allow us to market any device as intended to cure, treat, or prevent any diseases or conditions. We are not a medical device and not intended to cure, treat, or prevent any diseases or conditions and do not intend to go for FDA approval for such. Because viruses mutate (COVID-19 has at least 30 strains identified already, and other bacteria and viruses do the same), we cannot and do not guarantee that the device will work 100% or any

percentage. Just as masks are not perfect to 100%, do not expect any physical device to protect you from a virus (Plus, you may already have it and be asymptomatic. There is simply no way to know at this point.)

Obviously, it is our hope and intention based on the science and technology at-hand that our device reduces most or all of the virus and bacteria content headed toward your face!

• Production of 222nm LEDs is new and there may be delays and hiccups in manufacturing & testing them at the quality and quantity required. 
• Due to COVID19 delays, shipping of the product may take more than 120 days from backing and production. We cannot guarantee shipment times due to many shipments being stalled, delayed, and even held at Customs.
