The detailed manual work carried out on the components of a watch is where hand-finishing reaches a rare pinnacle.
 

Like a butterfly spreading its wings, Valuchi’s choice of a butterfly clasp is made of two metal hinges that open symmetrically outward to the right and left.

The butterfly clasp is attached to the watch with a spring bar and enhances the overall appearance of a watch while making it easier to open and close than a regular watch clasp.

The Miyota movements perform at the same accuracy as entry level Swiss movements and considered to be real powerhouses. These movements have proven their consistent accuracy over the decades and are easy to service. (battery life of 3 years)

We are so confident about the quality of our watches, that every watch we produce comes with a 2 year warranty. Warranty includes all internal parts of the watch.

Warranty does not cover: 

• The life of the battery 
• Wear and tear and aging (e.g. scratched crystal; alteration of the color and/or material of non metallic straps and chains, such as leather, textile, rubber; peeling of the plating) 
• Any damage on any part of the watch resulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of care, negligence, accidents (knocks dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.)
   

My name is Kelvin Dijkhuizen, project leader and founder of Valuchi Watches. I am a millennial entrepreneur who is always seeking for new adventures and ideas. I wanted to create a watch product, one which is good-looking, well-built and doesn't break the bank. In the core of this search I tried to find a way to create impeccable value at a down-to-earth price point. Value that makes his or her life just a little better. 

I've been obsessed with watches for as long as I can remember – likely my entire life – and because of my continuing passion for horology, I created Valuchi. I combined my great passion for watches with the love for my home city Amsterdam, as well as the city of Milan, where this whole idea of creating a watch brand began.

Luckily I got accompanied in this journey by a small diverse team with creative millennials who just like me, go asleep and wake up with Valuchi in mind. This all to make a watch brand which will give an extra value to all lives wearing a Valuchi watch on their wrist.

In order to turn this dream of ours into a reality, we need your support. Not only does this mean pledging for one of our excellent timepieces, but also sharing our story with a friend. The important thing to remember with Indiegogo is, if we don't reach our fixed funding goal, these watches will not become reality.
 

We are going to do everything we can to spread the word in a variety of ways. DOMESTIC SHIPPING - To 7 Countries:

United States, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Russia. We have a warehouse in Hong Kong that allow us to offer low-cost domestic shipping to the 7 countries listed above. Backers with a shipping address in any of these 7 countries will NOT have to pay any additional duties, sales tax, VAT, etc.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - All over the World:

Backers from all countries may have to pay additional import duties or other applicable taxes to the concerned authorities upon receipt of their goods - depending on the import policies of their respective countries. The duties and tax rates vary from country to country. If you wish to learn about the duties and taxes applicable to your shipment, you may want to check with the customs and border protection authority of your country.

SHIPPING POLICY

If our shipping carrier attempts delivery to you and the package returns to our warehouse (either because you’re not there, the wrong address was provided, or you moved without telling us), it will be the buyer's responsibility to pay the shipping fee to reship the order. When you receive your tracking number, please keep an eye out for the package.
 

Risks and challenges

The challenges to Valuchi watches will now be getting the word out, and convincing people on Indiegogo to participate. With so many great projects to choose from, we hope ours will stand apart from the rest. To reach as many people as possible, we are asking friends, families, and various blogs to help spread the word. Once the funding is in place, the challenge will be producing on a large scale. Depending on outside help is difficult, but we have been dealing with a manufacturer for years and have established a solid relationship, which has given us a lot of confidence in them.
