Anyone who has ever used a collapsible container with a standard narrow opening knows how frustrating it is to fill. If you have ever tried to fill one in the outdoors, it is doubly hard, since you need to find just the right flow of water to fill the container. We wanted a product that would make it easy to fill a water container outdoors while staying functional and usable.
The Vecto design has three main goals: easy to fill using the wide opening, easy to drink and filter using the standard narrow opening, and collapsible for easy carrying. The Vecto makes filling your collapsible container easy and quick, leaving you with more time to enjoy the outdoors and less time wasted on dealing with necessities.
The wide opening allows for the Vecto to be filled easily in any water conditions: running or standing water. You no longer need to find that perfect flow of water to fill your container, or improvise filling with a secondary vessel (and contaminating your cup) - just open the wide opening and scoop the water in seconds.

The dual opening design means that you are not bound by one method to treat water - you have the ability to adapt to conditions as they change. The standard soda bottle screw neck allows the use of Sawyer filters, or similar filters, while the wide opening means you can use a UV purifier or chemical treatment.

The Vecto is not just made to give you life-saving water in the backcountry; it can hold just about any liquid you might want - from cocktails to cold brews, the wide opening lets you mix things easily and add ice, tea bags, limes or anything else. Since it holds water in, it can also keep water out and be used as a dry bag: just put your things inside via the wide opening, seal with the slider, open the screw top to release air and close the cap.

At only 80 grams (2.8 oz)*, the Vecto is lighter than a double Snickers bar, making taking it along on any adventure a simple decision.

Not only is the Vecto light, it is so small (7x2x1 inches) that it will fit easily into any pocket, even on a running belt, in the back pocket or in a hip belt. The Vecto can be used as the primary water container on your trip or as part of your camp setup or emergency carry.

Made from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), the Vecto is soft to hold but highly durable with a break point of 100kg (220lb). This means that you can toss it, drop it, crush it or stand on it (no idea why you would, but you could!) and it will stay with you. The TPU is naturally elastic, so even if your gear is one big jumble when stuffed in your bag, it won't break, just bend.

We want you to keep on using the Vecto for years, so we designed it to be easy to clean: just fit your hand (any size under XXL) in the container with some dish soap and a scruber, and give it a good clean. Even if you took it to the backcountry for some nasty water treatment, you can wash it easily at home and load up with your favorite cocktail for the next picnic with no worries.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is not only bad for you, it is also illegal in kids' water containers and we want you to be able to make sure your kids are hydrated safely, too! The Vecto is made from BPA free, FDA approved TPU, so you can drink in peace.

We have been working with a partnering factory in China for the last year, developing the materials, design, and bonding to make the Vecto just right.
The Vecto is made from 5 different molds for each part: the body, the neck, the wide opening, the slider and the cap. Our partners are experts in mold injections and have been making hydration bladders and containers for years.
After 4 prototypes, we have now commissioned the creation of the last set of molds to make the Vecto, and this campaign is to be able to finalize the molds.

The cost to make something tends to be a fixed cost: making the Vecto will have a set cost no matter where it is sold. When something is sold in a retail store, everyone along the way needs to make some money - the factory, the brand, the distributor, the retailer. All those entities along the way roll that cost on you, the customer.
At Cnoc Outdoors we believe that gear should be accessible, not over priced, so we sell our gear straight to you, here on Kickstarter or on our site. By selling straight to you we cut out the top layer of costs, enabling us to offer the Vecto at an estimated retail price of $18, not $35-40 if it was in the store. Because of that, we also can't offer 50% or more discount on our items, since we want to pay our factories fairly.
Help us make gear accessible again by buying directly from brands.

Most of the time, Cnoc Outdoors is just me: Gilad Nachmani, founder, and one man show. I started Cnoc Outdoors after years in the outdoors retail environment, seeing how brands were selling gear that is either too flimsy or too bulky, all at a premium price. I wanted to change that paradigm with comfortable, lightweight and affordable backpacking gear.
