The story of an old love gone wrong
I traveled to Scribe Winery in Sonoma last year to shoot a short web piece for Dockers and fell utterly in love with the land. (The pictures don't do it justice.) I immediately decided I would return one day and shoot something meaningful to me. There was an old hacienda there, built in the 1900s, abandoned for more than 40 years. Its haunting beauty was the inspiration for Vintage. Although originally developed as a horror film, Vintage evolved into something completely different: a story of old lovers mired in their destructive past.
Since most
of my work involves heavy doses of the strange, surreal, and grotesque, I was
excited to move into new territory and grow as a storyteller. This film is a departure, in that its a simple story that most people can relate to: a love gone completely wrong.
Vintage is a cross-genre experiment, staying true to its personal story of two old lovers, while maintaining the skeleton of a horror film. It is an attempt for me to explore issues deeply personal to me while retaining my unique otherworldly style.

This
is a passion project that is being funded completely by yours truly. Therefore, any contribution you can give, no matter how
small, will be deeply appreciated, and instrumental in making this project a
reality. Without your support this film would not be possible.
Help me make something strange and beautiful!
In
order to pull this off we need to raise 10,000. This would cover the
cost of travel and lodging for the crew to Sonoma California. The
importance of shooting in Sonoma cannot be stressed, the landscape is a
vital part of the story. The land is very much a character. To shoot somewhere else is not an option and would completely
devalue the entire production. Further, the budget would ensure that we
could rent the equipment needed, feed the hardworking crew of 15, and
cover all other logistical details such as ground transportation, etc.
In return we offer our thanks, a promise to keep you updated about the
project, a copy of the film, invites to the premiere, credit on the
film, a big hug, and of course the promise to return the favor if ever
the opportunity should arise.
