In this 25th Anniversary year of El Muerto I'd like to ask your support in bringing this new book to life!
This collection brings together 17 stories from across 4 decades! Short stories, one shots, guest appearances, auto bio strips, gag comics and more. All featuring El Muerto and/or his creator, yours truly. Some of these stories haven't seen print in years, others have appeared in other publications, or have had very limited release, so there will be plenty in here that even those who have diligently followed the exploits of El Muerto haven't seen!
This is my first trade paperback to feature color interior pages (in addition to some being in b&w and some in gray tones). As such, printing costs are more expensive. But the final book is a well crafted publication that I'm very proud to release and hope you all enjoy it.
Pre-order your copy today!
This large format book measures 8.5" x 11", 130+ pages and features stories in color and b&w. In addition to the 17 stories there's a guest artist pinup gallery featuring over a dozen El Muerto illustrations done by an eclectic group of artists including Jorge Garza, Rabbit Print, Valeria Ontiveros, Marco Finnegan and more!
The book also features a Forward by Alex Grand of Comic Book Historians, an Introduction by veteran comics artist Steven Butler (Scarlet Spider, Sonic the Hedgehog, Archie Comics) and an essay by Professor Mathew Sandoval, an educator and scholar who has done extensive research and writing on Dia de Los Muertos.

We've got a few options for you to choose from in addition to the print version. We'll of course have a PDF version available for those who prefer that format, a deluxe package that includes some exclusive stickers and prints, and even an option to purchase the original illustrations that were created to make the cover (drawn on three separate 11" x 17" sheets of Bristol paper!).
The artwork below was created by Valeria Ontiveros (GORDO THE TEENAGE FLYING SAUCER) for the book's Guest Artist Gallery. It'll be available as an exclusive 8.5" x 11" print as part of the Deluxe Book Package Perk!

And for those of you out there who collect original artwork, I'm making the three pieces that composed the front cover available as a Perk as well!

Most of you have probably supported one of my various crowdfunding campaigns I've run here or through Kickstarter. Thanks for your past support and if you join in on this campaign you'll be helping get all these stories in print, many of which haven't been seen for years! The funds will be used to cover printing and shipping costs, as well as cover the costs of the perks.
Risks & Challenges
As you see in the video, the overwhelming majority of the book is completed. I just need to add the remainder of the guest artist pinups, plus the Forward, Introduction and Essay, as well as brief introductions to each story. Outside of any national or local emergencies that disrupt the supply chains, the book is scheduled to arrive in your hands by November 2023. As usual I'll be updating everyone on the production through my social networks, as well as occasional updates here via messages.
Other Ways You Can Help
