Gameplay
This game is important because it can be a great training tool for future flight attendants. Not every flight attendant has formal training in martial arts, and without martial arts skills the world's flight attendants are ill prepared for their jobs in the current airline industry. Voluntary Disembarkment can be the perfect training tool.
Game Features:
-
Find "volunteer" passengers hiding in their seats. Bonus points for passengers with lower ticket prices.
-
Knock out the volunteer with your fists, luggage from over head bins, or even the coffee pot.
-
Everything item on the plane is interactable. That includes the snack cart, luggage, passengers, the cockpit, you name it.
-
Drag the volunteer through the aisle and toss them out the exit doors. The farther the throw the more points you get. Make sure you find and toss their luggage as well.
- Start on a small bi-plane and work your way up to Commercial Airlines.
-
Passengers annoyance level increase as the game goes on, causing them to start demanding rights. Remind them of their "rights" with a swift punch to the jaw and collect bonus points.
-
Collect rewards form the CEO for abusing your power.
-
Final Boss: Voluntarily disembark the CEO from his private jet.
Image a mix between Job Simulator, Drunken Bar Fight, and Baby Toss. Every item on the plane will be interactable, some people will fight back, and every person can be tossed off the plane with no regard to their civil liberties or human rights.
As a contributor you can help us train flight attendants and airport security of tomorrow in proper disermbarkment techniques. You cannot stop airlines from beating you, so why not invest in ensuring they do it properly: violently and without mercy.

What We Need and Why we need it.
We are going to need a humble $30,000 to build the game. That may seem like a lot, but when you factor in the costs of 3d models, development time, and the corporate lawsuits this project will inevitably lead to, we are probably better off being forcefully re-accommodated.
The game is in the works, but the more funds we can raise the better experience we can produce. That means better graphics, more game modes, more realistic blood when passengers "fall down".
The Impact
Executives, politicians and other authority figures get to abuse their power on a daily basis. Most of us have morals holding us back. Voluntary Disembarkment give you the experience of abusing your power without worrying about the moral or ethical considerations.
The violence of our previous experience building a boxing VR game, will directly translate into creating the most realistic experience as a flight attendant on a corporate airliner. We have also spent countless hours being delayed, lied to, and generally annoyed on planes. This first-hand experience will help us create an accurate representation of the VR passengers annoyance levels. Voluntary Disembarkment will be the boldest, most realistic flight attendant experience ever created.
Rewards
Everyone who contributes to our IndieGoGo (enough to qualify for the first reward) will receive the full game of Voluntary Disembarkment and all of its updates free, forever until the final release! The game is currently in its alpha stage. We plan on developing it over the next couple years yet, so there is much more to come. It will be digital download only. There are many other rewards such as:
- Naming in-game content
- All the luggage will have various stickers on them. You get to make your own design that we will slap on the luggage in the overhead bin.
- Extra airliners that only our supporters will be able to access.
- Custom t-shirts
- Branded mouth guards to for future travel
- Useless $50 Vouchers
Other Ways You Can Help
Some people just can't contribute, but that doesn't mean they can't help:
- Ask folks to get the word out and make some noise Voluntary Disembarkment.
- Send it to your friends, share it on facebook, write about it on your blog.
- Use Indiegogo's share tools.
What if you do not reach your goal?
Last December our flight to Florida, USA was delayed over 3 hours in Dublin, Ireland. It was a major headache. On the bright side, we recently received a $1000 check from the airline thanks to the superior consumer rights in Europe. Unfortunately most countries, such as the United States, do not have those kind of protections. In fact, you can be assaulted for being a customer. We see the current events in the airline industry and our experience developing for VR as an opportunity to make a fun satirical game and raise awareness for consumer rights.
The more money we raise the more time we can dedicate to creating more environments and game modes and developing top of the line visual effects. We believe will add more replay value to the game and improve the chances of our game becoming official training material of airlines everywhere.
Once we finish Voluntary Disembarkment, we will donate 100% of the extra funds to a consumer rights organization protecting airline passengers, such as FlyersRights.org. If we do not raise enough funds to complete the game, all proceeds will be donated.
Is this a joke?
Yes, of course it is.
