Short Summary
The images of Black American fathers we see today are negative, unflattering, and...untrue. We are painted the picture of a lazy man with no goals, who only lives to impregnate a woman and leave her to raise the child by herself. We are told the Black father is absent in his kid's lives and basically uninterested in being a dad. We Are Fatherhood will show the truth: Black men are loving, attentive, and involved dads. By talking to fathers, experts, and cultural influencers around the country, we will show that the images fed to us on a daily basis are a distortion of the truth.
