About Kellan and WELCOME TO NORMAL
Hi! I'm Kellan and I am a senior at the University of Missouri studying documentary journalism. I came to Mizzou to study broadcast to cultivate my own documentary skills, and was fortunate enough to be part of the first class in the Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism!
Year one was a whirlwind and through hard work and a lot of luck, I was able to premiere my first film, CONCERNED STUDENT 1950, at the True/False Film Festival. But there is still so much more I want to do.
This May, my senior film, WELCOME TO NORMAL premieres at Jesse Hall. The film explores our perceptions of normalcy in the context of unorthodox spiritual beliefs set in my hometown, Normal, Illinois. The film has elements of fiction in it as well as we follow Sally, a wonderfully quirky groomer as she navigates life's twists and turns in a way only Sally can.
What We Need & What You Get
This campaign is seeking to raise at least $4,000 to complete filming and go towards post-production equipment. Though the campaign specifically helps to complete WELCOME TO NORMAL, your contribution will help in all future projects as well!
We have a series of perks set up as well as a thanks for supporting what sometimes feels like an impossible task
If money is tight, you can still help! Share, share, share! You never know who among your friends may be interested in helping with this campaign.
Thank you all so much for your consideration!
