WeRoad is a community-based tour operator that organizes small group tours for like-minded people sharing the same age and travel mood.
Due to Covid-19 our business has been put in a weird state of limbo (along with the rest of the tourism industry): no bookings, no travels, just home, work, online cooking or yoga classes, social distancing and... silence.
Well…for sure we don’t love to stay still and we’ve kept on racking our brains for finding out how to keep our business and community alive, so... here we are.
We don’t know when we’ll travel back again but for sure we will.

WeRoad is a tour operator based in Milan, working in Italy as well as in Spain and expanding across Europe.
We organize group tours for same age, like-minded people that want to discover the world through the eyes of local people, making new friends along the way.
Truth to be told: we don’t really like the “tour operator” definition.
We are way more than that.
Our vision is Connecting People, Cultures and Stories.
With this vision in mind, we want to fulfill our mission: design and deliver experiences worth living and sharing, rewriting the rules of the travel industry, every f*cking step of the way.
And that’s exactly what we have been doing in the past three years: we shook the travel industry by putting communities and connections at the core of our business.
Since the very first WeRoad days, we’ve been traveling the world, we’ve been pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone and we’ve been building connections between the people that have welcomed us in their home countries, between the people we’ve met on the road and between all of us.

We put together solo travelers in their 20s, 30s and 40s eager to discover the world, meet new cultures and make new friends. Like-minded people in small groups (8-15 people) sharing the same travel mood and the same age, along with a coordinator (a real travel buddy!) departing all year long to experience new adventures all over the world.
We speak the language of the travelers.
We love being direct, informal and ironic like no other company dares to do.
We are those travelers.
We are not an OTA or a middleman.
We are passionate travelers and create all travel experiences.
Our tours are life-changing: they are designed not only to help people getting out of their comfort zone and traveling the world, but also to enable them to connect and become friends.
How do we do that?
By making sure every itinerary has the right blend of elements to enable people to get to know each other, to share unforgettable moments and to change their lives.
A tour does not last forever, but a friendship does, especially one that has been built sharing incredible experiences together.
So… to sum up every experience is designed having in mind three goals:
- deep dive into local cultures;
- make travelers living a life-changing experience;
- and ultimately make them become friends forever.

WeRoad is first of all a community made of more than 20.000 travelers (actually, WeRoaders, as we like to be called) and more than 450 coordinators that shared experiences worth living in all of the six continents (we still miss Antarctica).
Coordinators are our secret ingredient: they are passionate travelers who strive to explore the world and share their journey with other travel companions.
They’re real travel buddies, not tour guides.
The end of our tours is the very beginning of a long-lasting bond between the people who lived it, they will then understand and feel the sense of belonging to our community.

We are more than 450 coordinators in Italy and Spain and 74 team members in our offices in Milan and Madrid.
But everything started only 3 years ago when Paolo (super traveler and serial entrepreneur) and Fabio, after experiencing similar types of group travels, felt the lack of a more human touch. They did feel the need to have a friend, a real travel buddy as tour leader rather than a tour guide. They thought the people you share the experience with are as important as the travel itself. And the same vision was shared by Erika who was working on the foundations on her community-centered co-living project but then bumped in the two of them and fell in love with the project.
She brought her travel industry expertise and passion, joined them in this adventure and together got it all started.
In 3 years we took more than 20.000 WeRoaders all over the world, from Japan to Peru, from Cape North in Norway till the end of the world in Patagonia and we met so many more on the road.
Right now we are more determined than ever to keep on doing that and want you on board.
