Short Summary
My name is Bella Greer and I have been writing plays and movies ever since I was a little kid. I grew up in Mexico City and Chicago. I love learning about people and creating an environment where everyone has a chance to bring their own creativity to the table.
West Egg is an early 2000s mockumentary adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It’s a film that captures the awkwardness of friendships and relationships, honesty, trust, and the odd little quirks we share but don’t always notice. It has taken us nearly two years to write this film, and we love how silly and sweet it is. These characters have become our friends and muses.
Funding for this project will allow us to maintain a positive set culture and achieve the production value that we are looking for. We care so much for our cast and crew; they are willing to pour so much of their time and talent into this film and really make it their own. So we’d love to create an environment that promotes creativity and compassion.

The Impact
We believe many audiences will be able to relate to the themes and ideas that this short film explores. Depending on how it all cuts together we would love to submit it to film festivals, some of the money raised here would go towards festival fees. Risks & Challenges
We have a large cast and we have around 2 days of shooting left that we are looking funding for. These two days are yet to be 100% planned, however we are confident we can pull it off!
