LOGLINE

White Paint is a dark but tender drama that follows a 16-year-old history buff Alex after he is sent to look after his Dementia-suffering grandmother, Patricia, who unravels as she repeatedly mistakes him for her late husband.

We are looking for help in bringing this important film to audiences across the world.  Director, Reuben has a track record of raising awareness through his work. He is a co-founder of MyImageMyChoice, an activist campaign to combat intimate image abuse that runs alongside a Sundance-supported feature-length documentary he is directing about intimate image abuse. MIMC petitions to date have collectively gained over 85,000 signatures.

We will be shooting in East Sussex, England in early January, and we will be taking the film to international festivals throughout 2023. Given the strength of both the project and the team, we also expect to be able to win recognition and prizes at significant festivals. We hope this film will ultimately find a home online where it can be seen by tens of thousands of people across the world. We want this film to have a lasting impact, and to raise awareness for complicated, and often hidden issues in our society, and would love the support of people who can help us achieve this goal.

We have so far raised 8k USD towards the costs of the film, having been awarded a prize by the Black Family Foundation. However, we need to bring on another 8.5k USD in order to make this film as good as it can be.
