Together, we’ve achieved what no other US development
program has.
60 wins a year on average, for the past five years
12 US Junior National Championship Titles
15 riders named to the World Championships (the most of any junior team)
14 top-10 finishes in World Cups and the World Championships
And the first US Junior Woman ever to win
a World Cup.
The Whole
Athlete Development Program has
created an undeniable momentum in producing top-level US riders and shown that it
can identify and nurture the next generation of world-class professionals. It’s time for the
next step in our evolution as a team. We’d like for you to join us.

Our Mission
A Junior/U23 development program, the Whole Athlete/Specialized Team has a simple
mission: to invest in the future of our youth and the sport of cycling by developing young
athletes at the regional, national, and international levels with dedication, integrity, and fun.
Racing by the Numbers
Each year, our talented riders compete at the
highest levels of the sport both nationally
and internationally. This kind of commitment takes resources and we are deeply grateful to the many sponsors who have supported us. But we need your help to take it to the next level.
Corporate sponsorship contributions make up roughly 30% of the team budget. The other 70% comes from the generosity of
individuals like you.
Here's a breakdown of how our budget is distributed:
28% Race event expenses
25% Mechanics/ Staff
20% Travel scholarships/ Coaching
20% Equipment & Team Clothing
4% Admin
3% Media/ Promotion
The Next Step
The cost of event participation is ever increasing, especially as our athletes gain international success. Additional funding will allow us to hire an additional staff member and provide greater support to the athletes who need it most. We are at a crossroads given our budget limitations.
And what if we fundraise above our current target? The next step would be to provide more opportunities for U23 riders trying to bridge the gap between the elite Junior ranks and a Professional career. In addition, we would like to offer more development camps for riders throughout the US.
Please consider a gift to support elite junior development in 2015 and beyond. Your investment in the future of cycling will help nurture the next generation of US talent.
Thank you!
