About Voiz
My name is Hiro Ogura, the founder, and CEO of Voiz.
In 1985, I immigrated to the US landing in New York City with a dream and a few hundred dollars in my pocket. My dream was to produce a high-quality radio with my exceptional design ideas.
Since I was a little boy, I loved to build radios from scratch using different vessels from a local junkyard. That is where my vision began ...
I studied design and became a product designer, and created many products for notable brands such as Emerson Radio, Aurora Impex, Kaito, Datexx and Onkyo. During this time I never gave up my dream of producing a great advanced radio with my knowledge of technologies and superior design.
Thirty-four years later my dream is now coming true with AiRadio.
My passion for the best quality design and sound reproduction finally materialized with the advancement of artificial intelligence technology and the craftsmanship of bamboo cabinet making.
Later this month I look forward to delivering my dream radio to the consumer market. Please support us so we can continue to make great radios.

Bob Hazelwood, Director of Engineering
Bob is a 35-year audio industry veteran. At JBL he was Product and Marketing Manager for JBL Mobile Audio. After three successful years, Bob returned to a/d/s/ as VP of Product Management, where he was responsible for managing the engineering, marketing, and service departments. In 1999 he was invited to join Cambridge SoundWorks to manage the transition and expansion of the company’s product line upon Henry Kloss’ retirement. Bob is now a director of engineering at Andover Audio and designing technology for, and coordinating the development of a new generation of Voiz products.

AiRadio
Currently, there are two AI platforms available: Google home or Amazon Alexa, both require long approval periods, Amazon had a shorter approval process but already extended to eight weeks from six weeks, and it requires nine samples to submit, and Spotify is now asking for two samples for approval. It costs us time and money. Fortunately, we have a reliable and supportive factory, and they are working around the clock to go to mass production as soon as Amazon approved. Also, the smartphone app requires a minimum order quantity of 3 thousand a per model, which is an enormous financial challenge for the startup company like us. So it is crucial to selling as many as possible at the IndieGoGo campaign.
Future Plan
We are planning to create our own AI platform which dedicates to serving for music and entertainment in the future, and your support is paramount for Voiz's future.

We have over 30 years of experience in developing the products and longtime relationship with the factories and vendors. Also, we have a partnership with New England's legendary Andover Audio for sound engineering and quality control. It will ensure the highest quality and on-time delivery.
