Hello, my name is Zakk Carter. Currently, I'm a student in the Narrative program at the Sedona Film School. Since August of 2013, we have been working collaboratively on eight short films and learning the skills necessary to enter the film industry at a professional level. Our second semester is dedicated entirely to the production of a twenty minute short film, one which we individually write and direct.
My thesis, Willow is about a twenty year old girl of the same name.
Beautiful and intelligent, Willow lives with her mother in a small town and holds a steady job at a book store. One day while hiking a familiar trail, her world is shaken by a violent attack that will change her forever. Ten months later, Willow spots the uncaught man responsible in public. After following him and discovering his home, she develops a plan to exact revenge upon her attacker. Revenge however, comes at a personal cost.
I'm greatly anticipating the production of Willow. The story is a powerful one, and it should be told as well as possible. I've assembled a crew from my classmates, and I believe that we can make a beautiful film. We need some help though, this is where you come in.
Willow will be entirely crowd funded! This means this project will be made possible through your support alone. As daunting as this may seem, I'm confident that it can be accomplished.
I want to raise $7500 for the production of Willow. The bulk of this cost will be camera and equipment rental, however this also goes towards any expense encountered throughout the process. This includes perks for anyone who donates.
Please join me and my crew in this journey to make Willow a reality.
