Short Summary
I am the President of Adelaide Plains Poets, and Puss in Boots and I are thrilled to launch this campaign to raise money for the publication of this Anthology
The Pinery Fires that hit the Mallala region and beyond were devastating for many people, burning down their homes, killing their pets and livestock, and ruining their lives.
Creative writing may seem a silly thing in the face of such devastation, but it has been proven again and again to help.
What We Need & What You Get
We need money to pay for the creation and then printing of this anthology, and then some funds to pay toward the businesses assisting us with the project, in terms of venues, and advertising.
The Impact
The money raised from this campaign will help Adelaide Plains Poets assist in many ways, both financial and emotional. If there is enough interest, we will be offering free writing workshops to anyone affected by the fires, who wishes to try creative writing as a therapy to help them mend.
Risks & Challenges
All of the money raised will help to put out this anthology, and mend people's lives. Fire doesn't care who it hurts, but the Adelaide Plains Poets care, and we are going to help them.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you think this is a great project to help people who have been deeply hurt by these devastating fires, please, spread the word, the more people telling others about this, the greater will be the support we can give.
