A WISH

Hi, I'm Dan McNamara and I'm the creator of Wish Weasel.

I have over a decade of experience creating bizarre comedy shows and web series. My first project was The Calderons, a mockumentary about a couple that took care of handicapped robots, featuring Kristen Schaal as the art teacher.  In Redeeming Rainbow, Pat Byrne and I lived with a talking cartoon rainbow voiced by Kurt Braunholer, featuring Ellie Kemper as our neighbor. I've screened work in the New York Television Festival multiple times and created an original animated series for Channel Frederator called The Bear, The Cloud, and God.

I'm a talented editor, animator, and SFX artist and I have always been driven to make offbeat yet heartfelt alternative comedy content. I love films from the 1980s/1990s, like Gremlins 2, Labyrinth, Howard The Duck, Big Trouble In Little China, Muppets Take Manhattan, Short Circuit, and Batteries Not Included, and Japanese kids shows like Ultra Man, Godzilla, Pokemon, and Dragon Ball Z.  So I thought, what if Jim Henson and John Carpenter made a kids show like Robert Smigel's TV Funhouse? 

WE NEED YOUR HELP

With your help we can complete a well-shot and well-executed Wish Weasel! All funding will go to the talent, production, green screen, music, and post-production special effects. We'll be able to fund the entire production and post-production and distribution through film and television festivals and screenings in New York City. All are welcome to the screening that will be scheduled this summer!

We're offering early access to the completed episodes, a music playlist from the show, an official card membership into Wish Weasel's Space Friends™, a Wish Battle Trading Card Magnet, a space phone, special thanks credit, no special thanks credit, your photo with Wish Weasel, and an Executive Producer credit!

If we don't reach our goal, the funding will go to as many talented actors, puppeteers, production and post-production crew members as possible.
