The Berry system is the world’s most advanced automotive computer system. By modifying your vehicles existing computer, the berry is able to intelligently refine your engine to increase engine performance by proven tests of up to 28% or decrease fuel consumption by up to 10%. With smartphone Bluetooth connectivity, users are also able to connect wirelessly to any smartphone to view real time performance data, fuel consumption, engine gauges and a whole lot more!
Easy Installation:
With a one button installation, anyone can install a berry
in a matter of minutes. As
the Berry system does not change ANY factory settings on the vehicles default
computer, it will not void manufacturer’s warranty and is reversible at any
time by simply removing the system from the On Board Diagnostic connection
found under the steering wheel column of most makes.

Automotive manufacturers deliberately de-tune an engine’s
ECU (Engine Control Unit) by utilizing a ‘generic’ setting within the software
so that tuning can be safely averaged for mass produced vehicles not tailoring
for individual circumstances. For this reason, engines are not able to run at
optimum power and efficiency due to varying factors including climate, fuel
quality variations, laws & restrictions, altitude and driving habits.
The Berry system automatically interprets data from various sensors within the
engine and provides the ECU with a world first live modified map within the
software to give the absolute optimum efficiency of the vehicle for not only
fuel economy, but torque, power and throttle response.
About the Founder
" From his teenage years as an avid fanatic with everything from advanced mechanical projects and auto-motives to computer programming and design, Aaron later become a member of the Australian army studying military surveillance and security. After an honorable discharge, he completed a trade and studied in Mechanical Engineering. Currently, in his late 20's, he is further developing his skills in advanced micro controllers, mechatronics, programmable logic and broadening his design engineering skills."
Prototypes
Aaron has previously developed a highly advanced system
specifically for diesel engines and began steps to manufacture the item for
consumers in 2013. Though due to its
intrusive nature by having to intercept various engine sensors (Throttle
Position, Fuel and manifold pressure, air temp, EGR and air flow) in an
under-the-bonnet installation he decided not to release the product on the
consumer market which was already flooded with intercept chips (though nowhere
near as advanced). This reason further
pushed for research into the workings of the factory system and how to harness
a vehicles existing mapping software.
With Aaron’s obsessive nature to develop a product that’s
not only the most intelligent electronic plug-in device available, but a
product that well exceeds anything else available on the market. A very extensive array of prototypes have
been developed (and failed Aaron’s Expectations) leaving an incredibly refined,
highly effective and aesthetically pleasing product.
Manufacturing
Berry Robotics are truly satisfied that every avenue has
been explored to have a product ready for production in its entirety. The final prototype of the Berry in all aspects
including design, hardware, programming, enclosure, manufacturing processes
including highly expensive injection mold tooling and testing have been
complete! The system is active and
tested to date on all OBD2 compliant vehicles with results continually
exceeding expectations. Estimated
expenses have exceeded the original budget, though the end result has proven to
be worth the sacrifice, with over 5 years of dedicated research and countless
man hours poured into developing a truly refined product. Manufacturing tenders were placed in April
2016 focusing purely on quality, with most of the successful partners from
Australia.
Manufacturing Locations:
- The Aluminum enclosure will a be produced by a quality manufacturer in China
- The molded lid for the enclosure will be produced in Australia
- Chipsets and circuit board to be assembled in Australia
- Software programming will be in Australia
- The entire assembly process will be performed in Australia
- All products will have final inspection by Berry Robotics in Australia for quality assurance
- Any unlikely warranty claims will be fully assessed by Berry Robotics in Australia
Risk and Challenges
Any project is never immune to problems, though if issues were to arise
with production errors, Berry has taken the initiative to have ‘backup’
manufacturers in place to counter any possible delays with getting the product
to the consumer as quickly as possible.
Expected delivery dates on the campaign are set later than the expected
completion date of the product as a safe guard for any potential delays in the manufacturing. Berry have fortunately had various experiences with production processes
and are very familiar with lead times and manufacturing protocols, rest assured
your kickstarter backing is in good hands!
