X-MEN: CHILDREN OF THE ATOM
After a devastating incident, human/mutant relations are at a breaking point. Based loosely on the God Loves Man Kills graphic novel as well as the comics and show from the ’90s. A non-profit film.
Hey, Everyone! My name is Evan and I primarily work as an actor but, more importantly, I'm a lifelong fan of Marvel’s Band of Merry Mutants. I grew up reading X-MEN, watching X-MEN, and dreaming of X-MEN. There have been a total of thirteen films released and I'm still waiting for a live-action take on the X-MEN I grew up with. Well, I'm done waiting. I have been fortunate enough to assemble a very talented crew, with members who bring a long tradition of fan films to our project. Now, we just need you! Your help will ensure that our series is filled with the colorful costumes, exotic locations, fantastic powers, and character drama that you have come to expect from the world of the X-MEN.
After mutants are blamed for a terrorist attack, human/mutant relations are at an all-time boiling point. A cunning and prominent Senator views this as an opportunity to finally make a play for the White House. On one side are those who view themselves superior to humans and thus their rightful rulers. On the other side, the X-MEN who will go all out to obtain a world where both can co-exist peacefully. In the middle, are those looking just to get by.
Creating the world of the X-Men fans have been waiting for is no simple task. Costumes, sets, powers, to be honest, they are all quite a lot. Upon reaching our goal, you can expect a full, dramatic-action-packed film.
LOCATIONS: ~9 : 10K //
We plan on shooting at some great locations that one would expect from an X-MEN film. Some of these locations will need to be rented or have permits in order to shoot there
CREW: 12-15 crew - 20K //
We are very fortunate to have the majority of crew members donating their time and hard work to this project. However, some crew and supplies will need to be paid for.
FOOD: 7K //
During a long, hard day of work we want to keep our cast and crew happy and that will require providing them with food.
TALENT: 22 : 5K //
We have some great talent lined up for this project, many of whom are volunteering their time. However, travel, lodging and a stunt team all require funds.
WARDROBE & PROPS: 15K //
We have some great, comic styled costumes for this film. In order to make them look the best they can comes with a cost. We will also require suits for all of our non-superheroes as well.
*Costumes based on designs by Cheto See and Lucas Werneck plus others.
