Hi! I'm Matthew Jordan Smith,
Have you ever looked at a child and wondered who they will become in fifty years? What if you could do something today to impact their lives in the future?
For the last two years, I have traveled to every state in America on a quest to empower the next generation and plant the seed of possibilities. I have photographed children from 100 families to create a powerful book titled Future American President: 50 States-100 Families-Infinite Dreams.
Now, I want to take it one step further and not only include your child in the book but put them on the cover. As a professional celebrity photographer, I know how powerful a book or magazine cover can be. Only a few people get to ever experience this, but I would like to change that. I want to create defining moments in the lives of children everywhere by allowing parents the opportunity to have their child on the cover of the new book, Future American President.
Now that the book is completed, we need your help to get it printed. Last year crowd-funding helped us complete the making of the book, but the biggest challenge, and most expensive part of this project, is the printing.
The more we can raise the more we can print and donate. Since we photographed children in every state, we'd love to be able to donate books to children in every state. We need your help to make this happen via your support and by spreading the word to family and friends.
We can print a small amount of book for 10K, but we can really get the books out in a big way if we raise 50k. We only have until the end of July to get the books send the books off for printing and to ensure the books are in your hands by the holidays. A percentage from every sale will also go to helping the Boys and Girls Clubs of America who helped me find children all over America. The top tiers of support will give children who may not be able to have this opportunity, the chance to have their picture taken and turned into a one-of-a-kind book cover.
Future American President will be my 3rd book, but it is the first one I've ever received awards from before it was printed. Earlier this year, I received the Image Award for my work related to the project and a month later, I received the Power of Image award in Beijing, China, awarded to 20 photographers from around the world who are making a difference.
During the making of the book, President Jimmy Carter heard about my project and wrote an exclusive letter to the children in the book. With your help, his message will reach children and empower them to work hard to reach their goals.
