Youth Program for Film Making and Music Studio Recording
Imagine what could happen when professional film makers, actors, recording artists and the community come together to work with youth in film making, music studio recording and health education as an alternative to violence?
For 35 years, Farah Dews has brought together film makers, actors, recording artists and students in the Bay View Hunters Point community. From stage plays to feature films about violence prevention and health education, kids learn everything including film making, music studio recording and acting. The Health Arts and Education program, is a program for students 12 to 18, and it changes students' lives.
Now in its 25th year, the Health Arts and Education program is an in-depth and rewarding program that asks students to learn film making, acting and music studio recording . Production for the Bishop movie begins in March and takes place over a 12 week time in the Bay View Hunters Point community.
